Mr. Poe And Esme

I've heard some things on forumsand from people that, they see that Mr. Poe is in fact evil, and Esme is actually good. Any ideas about these?

The former, I can see why one might think. The latter? Excuse me while I go away and laugh.

Anyway, the theory goes that Mr. Poe is working for Olaf and he tipped Olaf off about where the Baudelaires were going to be next. You might notice that this theory has one glaring flaw: it completely ignores the Carnivorous Carnival.

As for Esmé being good, I have no clue where they got that from.

as for esme being good lol where's the evidence for once and she tried to kill there bauds several times

well in the hostile hospital there is evidence that esme might have taken part in the killing of Beatrice or some sort of thing like that... "on that fateful thursday when beatrice met esme squalor" or something its in chapter one or two somewhere...
and that means that there will be no twists in which esme will turn good.

Maybe Mr. Poe tipped Madame Lulu off. Madame Lulu proabably wouldn't have had newspapers about the Baudelaires before the seventh book. I suppose it would make sense that he is evil, considering that his sister, Eleanora seems to be rather evil, also.

As for Esme, saying that she is good is absolutely ridiculous. She has never done anything good, unless you count purchasing large pinstripe suits for the Baudelaires---but that is a crime within itself.

I saw a fanfiction in which Esme was only pretending to be evil in ordcr to spy on Olaf for the V.F.D. However, I say there is a point at which "pretending" to be evil crosses the line into actually being evil. Thowing children down elevator shafts (net or no net), slashing at them with stilettos, and firing crossbows at them in the air crosses that line.

Esme...good...buahahahaha. That's a funny joke. I don't think Mr. Poe is bad, I think he's just bad at what he does and is stupid. But Esme is evil evil evil.
