I don't think that it's going to be the cover for the US version..... any pics of last year's US version? Or of this year's? Yet?

2005 calendar: Barnes and Noble doesn't have the 2006 calendar yet, and there doesn't seem to be anything about it on any of the other booksites.

It's January of the following year. I have mine hanging in my classroom, so every January have both hanging up.
I checked Border's the other day. They have all the empty racks ready for the calendars, but none on display yet. It should be soon.
I think that might actually be the real cover for 2006. It doesn't make sense to go to all that trouble for a mock-up and then change it for the final copy. Why not just put "Image not available"?

Yeah. It wouldn't be familiar to the US kids, really, but it looks nice nonetheless. It's actually BETTER than the US versions, I think.

Honestly, it would only take like two minutes to do that... If they had all the backgrounds and header images at hand. It wouldn't take 10 minutes... It's like they do for the covers.

I didn't say it would be difficult or time-consuming, I said it wouldn't make sense. The book covers, all they do is add the border and picture, they don't have a whole done-up cover and then change it entirely. To design a calendar cover (even with existing artwork) and then change it entirely doesn't make sense. Besides, the calendar covers have always been original art for that calendar.

I like the 2006 calendar that was posted, real or not. It appeals to Violaf fans like me. Who does the art, anyway? Helquist?

Violaf? Kinda creepy, yet intriguing.......
and yes, I think Helquist does the art for both UK and US.

Yes, officially, according to the back of the calendar, it is Helquist.

He has a very interesting style of drawing.
Anyhoo, real or not, I like the Marvelous Marriage pic. Very creepy, very unfortunate, very cool.
