Has anyone heard or seen anything about the 2006 LS calendar? The last 2 years it came out very early. We should have seen something about it by now. I can't imagine they would pass up the chance to make some money off of calendars.

I posted about it in Trouble Begins a while ago (as an off-topic tangent). They had a cover for it on Amazon.co.uk, although I was unable to track anything down on A.com. Naturally, I can't find that thread now. Here's the page on Amazon.co.uk, though: www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1405222557/qid%3D1122991556/026-7251674-4509268It's done very much in the style of the UK covers, so I think that the American calendar will have a different cover.

To me, that looks a little bit...like someone else made the cover. Hasn't the calander cover always been new art?

The past two calendars had covers with art we hadn't seen before, yes. This one just has weirdly modified versions of existing art.

Well then, maybe it's a placeholder image. That would explain the weird distortion in the side images.

The side images look like they've been run through the "solarize" filter in some image-editing program, which negative-izes the lighter parts of the image.
When I went to B&N a while ago, they said they might be getting this calendar in their next shipment. I don't know when I'll next get to go there, though.

The 2005 calendar from the UK looked nothing like that...
If I'm not mistaken, it reminded me of the image from TMM when they were travelling on the train. Let me see if I can find it... Okay I looked it up and that wasn't the one I had seen... But yes...
The one above doesn't follow the pattern of 2004 and 2005. I would think that was a placeholder... Because if they released that.. they'd probably have to make a US one.. but if they made one following suit... it could be released worldwide.

Yes, the other calendar covers have been rather different. Though, in my opinion, worse. I'm pretty sure that's a spaceholder.

The previous two calendars had original art on the cover, not stuff from the books. However, we've had those 3 pictures here in the US, not just UK. (I just can't figure out why the two side pics look so weird.) But the font looks more like the UK covers.
I want to add the calendar to my Christmas list (yes, I plan ahead) so I hope an Amazon link shows up soon.

But the font looks more like the UK covers. Not just the font - the background, the eye border and the thorns at the top are exactly like the U.K. covers.

I think the picture on the right is the UK TRR cover, with the solarize effect used on it. The fact that all the lighter colors have been inverted makes it hard to tell what it is at first.

Yes, it's the UK TRR cover. The border at the top - both eyes and thorn colour - is from our TBB. The box containing "2006" is the bit which on our covers says "Book the Xth."

...Is it just me, or have all of those images on the cover been in the 2005 calendar? *rolls eyes*

They probably have.

The red part at the top is taken from the UK TBB, with the little pattern of eyes below it too.
