If the ninth eye people haven't lied to us, then it's on either a .com website or a .org website. "spark man"'s latest hint wasn't very clear.
I'll check THEF.

Sparkman.com won't even load for me--maybe it's the lousy school computer I'm using, or maybe the site's genuinely dead. I typed in "thef.org" and it took me to some site-hosting service. But when I searched on "THEF", I found their site. I have it open in another window.... It's not there.

Here's a full copy of the most recent "clue". "http://www.************.org the paper said that volit held in her hand. 'look at this Klaus ' Volit said ' this is what count olaf left here. it is a web site url. .org it says like organation, just like vfd. maybe that olaf put the .org to trick us it is a .com probley. most of the url is faded so i cant see some. ' ' good thinking volit' klaus said. ' ghsgfjbv ( so we know its a .com ) ' sunny said." Shortly followed by: "but just remember this............the baudielairs are not the smartest people in the world " Smiling freak. If I ever meet him in real life, then I am totally going to beat him to a pulp if I think I can get away with it.

Interesting. I typed in "eye09" in Google Image Search, you know, to cheat, but I didn't find anything.

Cheating is a perfectly valid option, in my opinion.

The *s were a representation of blurriness and unreadableness.

A theory that I am nurturing, especially since this link doesn't seem to work. Change it to any figure from 01 to 08, and it works, but not for 09. But we have to try.

Hello All,
I have been also following the Daily Punctilio postings and am in search of the 9th eye. Out of the postings of people who have supposedly found the eye, Sparkman from the Punctilio seems to be the most credible, although his second clue that Fight Fire with Fire posted on this link does not make sense to me. I have found it curious that he has certain spelling/capitolization errors for no apparent reason I can find (including Volit instead of Violet - misuse of i's or 'eyes'?).
However, it did lead me to something interesting in that on the Desk of Lemony Snicket... if you go to the Baudelaires pictures/descriptions... when Violet's picture is selected and a description pops up, it talks about her tying her hair up with a string when she is thinking. Then at the bottom is a small note saying "Incorrect. Violet tied her hair up with a ribbon not string. Is this a secret message?" I am not sure what to make of this, perhaps something to do with a message string. Has anyone ever looked at all of the messages in the Daily Punctilio to see if some strange random message string may have a clue or link?
Just curious... Good luck all!

Thank you for that, froglick00. In my opinion, sparkman's spelling errors etc. are probably the result of him being an idiot.
And thank you for that observation. Of course, now I have to go and see if there's any string on the movie site, or a website called string.com.
Edit: Too many zeroes on froglick's name.
Edit Again: CountOlaf.com's "weblog" usually updates every two-to-five days, but it hasn't updated since September 23rd. What's up with that?
