In Book 13, THE END, very last picture of an empty sea. You see a question mark drawn in with the waves. This would be page 15 technically speaking of the 14th Chapter. Do you think this represents that they sank, like the Quagmires and Fiona and the Hook-handed man did? It would make sense because "Beatrice Sank" (The Beatrice Letter Hidden Code)

Couldn't be. It says in the Beatrice Letters that Sunny had told recipes over the radio. How could they do that if they sank?

Good point >.> I was reading TBL and saw that. It has to show something probably because Snicket and Helquist wouldnt put it there for nothing

I think it might be The Great Unknown. You know, the question mark in TGG?

I think it might be The Great Unknown. You know, the question mark in TGG? yeah, thats what i was going to say. I noticed it today while rereading the end. Since it's a shadow underneath the water, that's what I assumed.

I feel sorry for the Quagmires, though>> Kit says in TE that the Great Unknown sucked them in! And I actually feel sorry for Olaf, too>> He didn't diserve the death of a harpoon gun. But at least the Baudelaires don't have to worry about him anymore.
But something Olaf said while he was in the bird cage: "Do you think it was me who burned down your house?" I don't think it was him. Before I read TE, I heard that the person who ended up marrying Beatrice killed her. So it must be Bertrand who burned down the house and gave up the children to Olaf. Ithink that Mr. Poe must have been a villain, along with Olaf and Bertrand, who all had connection with each other. Before the Baudelaire mansion was burned down by Bertrand, he contacted Mr. Poe to tell him that when he died, to give his children to Olaf. That would explain alot!

Yeah, cause there sure is a ton of evidence in the books towards that. Come ON people.

The picture before that was snicket in a boat. My theory is that he is leaving the island from reasearch and was 'captured' or 'saved' by the ?

But why would he? he could have done because for whatever reason he was on the olaf side of the schism. and who said he killed himself? couldn't he be the person seen fleeing from the fire? couldnt he be in hiding somewhere in the huge SOUE universe?

I think the Great Unknown is an Female Finnish Pirate submarine. Plus, Snicket says he's writing a pirate book next.

It could have sucked them in either to kill them OR save them. Olaf didnt die of the harpoon gun, he died of the Myceload Mushroom (I forgot what the heck its called lol)
