*yawn* Well, it's only the first draft...maybe the title is subject to change.

That is such an awful title. I think so as well. I mean, what could that mean? It sounds like one of those really dumb titles fans make up in their spare time. You might as well name it Harry Potter and the Gigantic Corncob, or any of the titles in that mocking thread... As for who the prince is, I'd say Dumbledore. Cos we have no idea what his background is. Or possibly someone related to Hermione? Someone mentioned that it could be someone who hasn't been known yet? I hope not...

I also think it's malfoy. But J.K. said that it's not Harry nor Voldemort. So I really have no clue. But since she said that it was a proposed title for CofS, then I think it might be a key character in CofS. I would think Ginny, but she's a girl. Maybe Ron. He has a muggle relative. Not sure.

I saw this artice on a livejournal...I agree, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is a woeful title. It doesn't seem terribly magical. It sounds like my first attempt at a Harry Potter fanfic; "Harry Potter and the Mark of the Wand" or some other title in the Bad Names for a Harry Potter Book thread.
I'm inclined to mention characters from the CoS, since it appears to influence Book 6.
Gilderoy Lockhart - A character from CoS. We don't know his background. He is unlikely because: 1. He is in St. Mungo's for memory loss. 2. He cameoed in OotP, and it seems unlikely that such a minor character will appear again.
Colin and Dennis Creevy- They are muggle-borns. Examples when Colin gets petrified. Their dad is a milkman.
Penelope Clearwater- Percy's girlfriend. She is muggle born also, but a girl.
Perhaps a ghost? What makes Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington a Sir? The Bloody Baron? We know so little about him...
Someone from the DA? Mundungus? Snape? Aragog? I'm getting silly...

I know the combonation. It doesn't work for me. Halfway through me clicking the bricks they pop back out.
You can find the combanation in the Leaky Cauldron...http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/MTarchives/004849.html

Can't be Malfoy *drools for a quick moment*. He's a pure-blood, not half-blood.

I think it could be Hagrid. He is half-blood. Half giant, half human. AND he was improtant to CoS, cauze JKR said this books plot was originaly meant for book 2 but she thought it belonged in book 6.
