I like HBP but it's murder trying to read it. I'm not sure that makes sense. You're quite right; it doesn't. Could you possibly explain...? What I meant is it makes perfect sense to me but I didn't think anyone else would understand it and I was right. That was as much as I could expain at the time. I have to force myself to read HBP but I like reading it once I actually start. I'm still mad at the books and I'm not seeing that anger going away anytime soon. Especially since she's trying to ruin Sirius/Remus and going slightly against SBP which is cannon in my mind. My Order: POA OoTP(except the last chapters) GOF and SS are tied CoS. I haven't finished HBP yet.

POA is still my favorite, by far.

The Goblet of Fire is my favourite book by far. The fifth one sucked, it had no plot at all, the only thing that happened was that Sirius died. GoF was great, though. I loved how the Triwizard Tournament was all a set up to bring Voldie back to life. It was kind of a shame that Cedric died though, he was such a nice guy....

ootp did not suck, I loved it because it was interesting right from the start and we finally got to see the Ministry plus Dumbledore dueling with Voldemort. We also got to see that the high magical officials are not infallibe, they make mistakes like everyone else, plus mysteries were solved such as why Voldemort wished to kill Harry.

Goblet and ootp tie. Really they're all so close and so good it's very difficult to choose the best...

i don't know if i'm the only one but all in a row (covers face up) the goblet of fire looks out of place.

Goblet of Fire is my favorite, for plotty reasons. It just didn't have any boring moments. The first three books didn't either, but this was the longest of them that didn't have any boring moments.
Sometimes I feel like OotP and HBP (even though I've only read HBP once) drag on too much. I mean, I know you need the length to cram everything in, but all the meaningless chatter about how their classes are going is pretty dumb, and boring.
Luckily there won't be any of that in the last book. Or unluckily. I'm still sad about that THING.

I like hearing about their classes, I want as much info as possible on magic. Which is probably why I enjoy the later ones more as we encounter more advanced magic and such.

Use this thread if you must discuss your favorite book.

Er, isn't that obvious? We were talking about our favorite books. *shrug* but yeah Hbp even though it depressed me.

No, someone else created a second thread, which was stupid, because this one already existed, so I bumped this so they could discuss their favorite book here, but they don't seem to have done so.

My new order is: POA OoTP(except the last chapters) GOF SS and HBP CoS
I finished it awhile ago. She tried to ruin the love but in my mind Sirius/Remus still exsists.
