Well, Dumbledore knew that Malfoy was the one who sent the necklace and poisoned the wine. He was probably expecting - in that Dumbledore way - Malfoy to finally open the wardrobe.

It would take some pretty powerful jou-jou to fix the cabinet. You'd certainly expect DD to know about it. Why didn't he stop Malfoy? Ah, a question which leads to the ultimate answer on the tower: DD actually was pleading with Snape to kill him! We will find out his reasons in our next episode, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I believe DD was expecting Snape to kill him. Remember, Hagrid overheard the argument where DD was getting angry and telling Snape that he must follow through on his "mission".

Eh, all will be revealed in Book 7. I am really angry, because the nearest shop to me, Asda, had a row with Bloomsbury (the publisher) and they aren't going to stock it at midnight anymore! Grr!

Dumbledore didn't know about the vanishing cabinet, he had to ask Draco how he smuggled death eaters into the school when they met on top of the tower. But you'd think with Harry's protest that he'd at least have checked things out.
I had another good one to post but I forgot. This isn't it but: Why can't Harry ever get out of a pensieve on his own?

I suppose it's because he's never been told how.

I always wondered that, along with how you actually do get out of a Pensieve. A spell? Or a certain thought? Maybe you kinda have to perform Occlumency and block your mind to the stuff happening and just think about the real world.

Perhaps Harry can never leave on his own because it isn't his pensive? That wouldn't explain Snape if he was using Dumbledor's though.

Maybe you can only escape from your own memories.
Edit: Forget I said that.
Reason for Editing: Realising it was a stupid comment

DD must've known that Snape could only stay for one more year at Hogwarts because why else would he give him the DADA job, knowing it was jinxed?
