I think the one holding the sword is meant to be Ron, but that means Hermione's hair is redder than his.

I assumed the one on the right was Hermione, because of the clothes. Short-shorts don't seem like Ron's style.

Oh. I didn't really notice the clothes. . .

I'm thinking the one on the left is Ron, the one on the right is Hermione.

*looks at Ukrainian cover again* I guess you're right. I like the picture on the back of Hagrid and Harry on the motorcycle.

Definitely. And they look nowhere near age 17.

O.o Yah, that cover is slightly unnerving. They look too happy to be mere feet away from a fire breathing dragon.

Indeed. It really is something, the range of art and quality in the covers.

But everybody I've talked with agrees that the American HP 7 cover has absoluetly nothing to do with anything whatsoever. XD

It's the final scene in the Great Hall.

Which is pretty obvious when you read the book.

Yes, I thought everyone already agreed on that?

It's obvious only to a certain degree. In the book, Hogwarts hasn't exploded or moved into a bright Rome-reminiscent landscape. yet the cover suggests many things like that sort of surroundings or location, wandless magic or even the throwing of a wand, and final isolatory battle. None of these are part of the scene. So yeah I can understand fordxperfect's understanding of the cover.

well ok so the cover doesn't exactly depict the scene, but it most resembles the final duel twist Harry and Voldemort.
