The Council of Elders could be The Minitry of Magic in book 5.
Oh,and I had the thought stuck in my head for a long time that Geraldine Juelivene=Rita Skeeter.
Oh and Klaus looks alot like Harry Potter.

I agree with most of these.
Lemony as Hufflepuff took me aback at first, but I think you're right - loyal and hard-working, not particularly brave.
I wonder whether Geraldine should count as Hufflepuff as well - she's not being villainous on her own account; she's moved mostly by admiration for Esme.
Any good Slytherins? I suppose Fernald could count as one at a pinch. But actually, in the light of TPP, I wonder if Sunny is a Slytherin.

most of the people do seem to be ravenclaws
but the series are about clever epople mostly

It's not actually a bad House, but in student culture there seems to very much be an opinion that, while it's okay to hate Slytherin, it's okay to pity Hufflepuff. Lemony is a bit like that, I often feel - not very dashing, not exactly the hero of the hour, but he quietly gets the job done while nobody's looking. It'd be dreadfully silly, of course, but it seems to me that there are enough parallels that an aSoUE/HP crossover fanfic could work - that is, wouldn't be completely illogical. |

My opinion.
Gryffindor: Violet, Friday, Beatrice junior.
Ravenclaw: R, Klaus, Fiona, Quigley, Fernald, Isadora, Esmé.
Hufflepuff: Duncan, Sunny, Montgomery, Olivia, Lemony, Jerome.
Slytherin: Kit, Beatrice senior, Jacques.
It's very difficult to place Carmelita and Count Olaf, maybe they are just squibs.

I think the three Baudelaires would all be Ravenclaws, and the Quagmires, Gryffindors. Olaf would be Voldemort, therefore Slytherin, and Esm´´é would fill the role of Bellatrix, therefore Slytherin as well. Carmelita would definetely be a Slytherin, she's easily identifiable with Pansy Parkinson.
