My brother received a U.S. state quarters holder as a gift, and he collected those quarters for a while. He didn't really continue with that, though. I don't collect quarters or other coins, although if I see an old coin, I will keep it. I think the oldest one I have is only from the 40s.

I used to collect erasers, of all the strange things. However, the store that sold them for a good price closed, so I don't really have anywhere to purchase them now.

I don't so much collect one specific thing as collect random things.

As for quarters, I used to have a collection of them, but now I don't know where it is. I have some foreign coins someplace, too. My father collects ancient Roman coins; I think I actually have some of those.

I have some foreign coins. I don't actually collect them though. My mom had a bracelet made out of francs.

You're not trying very hard. The oldest quarter I have that I have the date memorized of is a 1958 proof, and I know I have some older than that.

Actually, I did collect coins of all types at one point. I lost interest.

Come to think of it, I think I have an old coin which I dug up in the garden once. It's not Roman, though. Or at least, I don't recall it being Roman. I'll photograph it sometime, and ask somebody to remind me when it's from. It's rather worn-down, and I can't remember whether one can make out the words or not.

You should take it in to your local numismatist. I was given a coin once that was examined and shown to be worth 20 dollars.

My mum used to collect any sort of valuable and historical coins for me, and... yeah. She's not added to the collection in years; she may have forgotten.
