LMFAO. It took me AGES to write that. R: AAGH!! There's only nine words between "happy" and "birthday!" *edits furiously* R: AAGH!! NOW THERE'S ELEVEN!! *edits furiously... again* R: Whew! Now I can--wait. *counts* CRAP!! There's nine words between "wish" and "you!" That was basically my inner dialogue for the thirty minutes I spent writing that single paragraph. . I'm not particularly good at Sebald code, so this was a nightmareish experience.

"Dear Mr Handler
Like evil Counts, dark places, or terrible cassorole (can someone correct that? i'm unbelievely tired and I can't spell), birthdays are things which have a lot less effect on people each time they return. However, we all hope that your birthday can be much happier then that of the Baudelaires; hopefully you will not be locked in the Deluxe Cell in a bird-obsessed village, nor are you surrounded by deadly bugaboo in a conical cave.
Have a happy birthday, and if you make a wish when you blow out the candles of your cake, maybe you can wish that the end of the Baudelaire's tales will never be released to the public
Yours unfortunatley, Dupin."
How's that?

Thanks Dupin, that sounds great. Yeah I'll fix up your spelling errors.
EDIT: I've extended the deadline to Wednesday because I'm still waiting on a couple more messages.

Dear Mr. Handler,
It is a sad occassion, that you have had to live for one more year, in this woeful world we live in today. It is my deepest hope that someday soon you will escape to an oasis of your own, to drink, presumably not poisoned, tea and read a book about a merry little elf. Until that day comes, I hope and pray that your life will be far less miserable than mine.
With all due respect, Snicket Face of 667 Dark Avenue

"Dear Mr. Handler, my love for your books will live forever. I however, shall not. So, my wishes go out to you on your birthday. Happy Bird-Day!"

Dear Mr. Handler,
Happy birthday to you and Mr. Snicket. (Iassume you have the same birthday since you are a fictional character invented by Lemony Snicket as his representative in putting out these books). Thank you for the source material for countless bizarre theories which have driven us insane.

If all the books in the world were to be sentenced to burning, I would save any book written by a certain Lemony Snicket, because they are need to compile Very Formal Documents. Brightwing15

So if anyone hasn't added their message yet, do they still have time to do so, or is the deadline well and truly gone?
