PJ’s Rant.
Well, this Rant won’t be anywhere NEAR as big as the last one. The last one was 10 rants put together. AND Akbar cut and edited quite a bit. I had written like 10 pages, of pure rant. Heh. Perhaps I’ll make this one a bit longer, because longer is better.
So, first of all, Big Brother. This weeks task entailed making your own “Imaginary Friend” so we have lots of zany creatures running around, wether they be the awesome and lazy sloth, Gerald (my daemon/imaginary friend) or if it’s J.’s WacKY Captiosus, or Mr. Poe’s stupid gelatinous Poey. For reasons that are beyond me, Snicketface and Gigi have chosen respectively a stereotypical nerd called Nate with a variety of allergies, and Horace, a super-pessimist.
Also, to my utter dismay, Snicket got evicted. I really loathe Mr. Poe, for his random stupidity, and I can’t understand why HE wasn’t evicted….
Still. Soon we’ll have to start nominating our friends. But that’s just Big Brother’s natural evilness.
Also, there’s going to be a 667 Ball, which is a mix of – or so I’m told – Gralice’s (Le Grey/Alice…it’s just a temp name. We need to think of something better) wedding, the celebration for the 500th page of the RFT, and Valentine’s Day. This lucky column-writer-guy is going with Jemima, the- well, you all know who she is. She’s cool.
Also, some random’s decided to take on the mantle of Cupid, the fat naked baby that insists on shooting people with arrows laced with percocet, to imitate the feeling of love. And yes, I did steal that off Men In Hats.
Trag’s been away, apparently, which would explain the dead-ness of the Detriment Deleters thread. And we still need a Member of the Month January, people.
In other news, SkeletonKey’s computer is all virussed, so she won’t be on for a while.
Also, something that really, really annoys me is people who make numerous accounts just to boost their Karma. I mean, sure, I have a few account floating around, but I only smite really cool members like that fellow who made the “UE is better than 667” thread. So grrr. It’s evil. Don’t do it.
Linda made a “let’s make fun of ourselves” thread, and it’s quite entertaining; members post links to their n00by first posts, and we all point and laugh. Akbar needs to go there. I’ve got screenshots of his first few posts. They are very, very BAD.
Well, that’s all I can manage for today. This is about a page in font 12, which is good enough. Besides, I have another week of exams ahead of me, and I really should be studying Chemistry. Chemistry is Satan.

New Times, New Tomes[/u]
Well, after a long break, I'm back. This news may be old to some of you but my job is to inform those members unfamiliar with Burdensome Books. So this week I'm going to talk about the new spin-off books that we can expect soon.
First off are two, well; one and a half, disappointments. "Notorious Notations" was a big let-down. After lengthy discussions on what this book would contain (ideas ranged from another biography to rare-edition-like-notes on the newer books) a cover was revealed. What was clearly an Olaf silhouette made everyone jump to the conclusion that these notations were going to be made by a notorious villain. However, the absence of the familiar by-line should have alerted someone to the fact that this was just another Blank Book. This was later confirmed by a Harper-Collins insider. Scheduled for release on the 21st of this month, I can't see a huge immediate demand for Notorious Notations.
"The Puzzling Puzzles", on the other hand, is rather confusing. As you know, a book of the same title was released at the same time as the aSoUE movie. The new version seems to be for those fans who prefer to have nothing to do with the movie. It has new Helquist cover-art and sixteen more pages of puzzles than the original. Also scheduled for release on the 21st of February, I imagine this will be more successful than TNN.
But "The Beatrice Letters" is the most interesting upcoming release. Nothing is confirmed about this book, other than its existence. As stated in an AuthorTracker e-mail, this will be "a series of communications from someone named Beatrice".
In the same e-mail, the release date for Book the Thirteenth was revealed. Unsurprisingly, it will be Friday 13th of October (2006, of course). Even less is known about this book.
And so, after being disappointed by Harper-Collins time after time, we can only put ourselves in the position of an infant climbing an elevator shaft with her teeth: a struggle for hope.

Linda’s Interview Of The Week.[/u]
Member Interview of the WeekLinda: Welcome to this week's Member Interview of the Week. This week, we have Robert. Welcome, Robert. Now, what is your real name, and how did you come up with your username?
Robert: Well, in case you're retarded or something, my real name is actually Robert. My username is therobert, because I figured Robert would be taken, and I didn't want Uyersuyer again. My display name, though, is Doctor Hobo, which is a reference to a web comic called VG Cats.
Linda: Where are you from?
Robert: Well, I came from a three-story house in the middle of the ghettos of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and moved into one of the country side trailers in Halifax, Pennsylvania. It's a big change, but sometimes you just have to deal. I like the schools better, anyway.
Linda: Tell us a bit about yourself. What are some of your interests?
Robert: Well, I'm obviously a huge computer geek, but I also like to play a lot of console games and I hang outside. I seldom play sports, but a lot of the athletes are insisting I try out for football. I love to spend time with my girlfriend, Megan...Hi, Megan!
Linda: What do you like to do in your free time, besides visit 667?
Robert: Well, sometimes I go to the gym to work out, but besides that I like to talk to people over AIM, MSN, and YIM and go to a local hangout called the Youth Center. If you're ever in Halifax, feel free to stop by and visit me. ;-)
Linda: How would you describe your appearance?
Robert: I'm around 5'9" and I have really dirty blonde hair. I'm not fat, but I'm not skinny, and my face is...face-like. Hell, as long as I can keep a girl, I don't care how I look.
Linda: How would you describe your personality?
Robert: I like to think I'm a very funny and easy-going person. I don't think most of 667 would agree with that, seeing as I'm usually pretty cynical when I'm on. It's not that I don't like you guys... it's just that I don't like SOME of you guys.
Linda: About how much time do you spend on 667?
Robert: Well, I'm off and on during the time I get home from wherever I was during the day 'til I go to sleep, but I don't normally post unless something particularly catches my fancy.
Linda: How did you find out about 667?
Robert: I used to go to a popular Harry Potter site, where I met J, and we started to talk over AIM. After a while, she started talking about 667. I lurked for a while, joined, lurked with an account for around two months, and I finally decided to grace you with my presence.
Linda: How important is 667 in your life?
Robert: Well, not very anymore. I used to be very attached in sixth and seventh grade because the people there accepted me more than the ones in real life. But in the later stages of seventh grade and into eighth, I got popular in my school. I don't need 667 anymore, but I still come for the community.
Linda: Do you think that you are a well-known member of 667? What do you feel your level of popularity is?
Robert: Well, I guess most people know me, but I wouldn't say I'm popular (hey, guys, feel free to prove me wrong after you read this). I know of a few members who like me, but they're a short bunch.
Linda: What sections do you visit the most?
Robert: Chaotic Creativity and Menacing Miscellaneous. I don't really go anywhere else unless I'm really bored.
Linda: Is there anything you’d like to tell the members of 667?
Robert: "You guys all went overboard with the Best thing. Also...
...I FINALLY GOT INTERVIEWED, SUCKERS!
Linda: Thanks, Robert. Now, next week I'm interviewing twistedbrain, and no one is signed up after her. If you would like to be interviewed, please tell me.

EDITORIAL
Ack. Where are my columnists? Jemima, Jemima, wherefore art thou? And J’s documentary? Shytte, why do you people do this to me? Question, questions, questions, and not an answer to be found. Really, it’s too much. Jemima, you’re on probation. A plague upon both your houses. And grr. Well, nothingelse has been happening as 667’s still reeling from the after effects of Best. Plus, I want to go talk to my supercalifragilisticexpialidocious fiancé.
Peace out,
Akbar.
