Am I alone in liking The End? Not at all! I thought it was great, and I really enjoyed the way it subverted the formula of the early books.

I like it too. (Actually I think that in retrospect, a lot of what happens in it is foreshadowed.)

TEE has 6 votes. How fitting.

I chose THH and TWW. I chose THH because I really liked how Sunny and Klaus had to manage to help Violet... And something got me in the last picture of the book... But that doesnt matter. I chose TWW because of the whole adventure going on throughout the story and becaus of the last paragraph where it says that having each other felt like having a sailboat in a hurricane and that to the Baudelaires it felt very fortunate

TEE has 6 votes. How fitting. Looking at the votes, TMM and TVV have zero. I'd have expected that for TMM, which has often fallen foul of fan opinion for various unclear reasons, but TVV is another matter; it's quite important. I think perhaps the settings were a little less colourful than their companion books. I chose TWW because of the whole adventure going on throughout the story and becaus of the last paragraph where it says that having each other felt like having a sailboat in a hurricane and that to the Baudelaires it felt very fortunate Good choice; TWW is one of the most adventurous books in the series, especially in the early series. It's good practice for the Baudelaires being so alone in the world later on, although even then they don't have to steal any sailboats and ride them through a storm.

I voted for TVV and TPP. Actually, because of TVV, TPP could have never happened.

I don't like that one so much, but I can see why you like it. (Hugo ) But the reason why I don't like it is because I like the routine of the Baudelaires going from place to place with Count Olaf following them in diguise. And that was the first book in which that didn't happen so...In fact, if it was just that throughout the entire series, I wouldn't have minded. EDIT: There are some aspects from TCC that I like. The scenes where Esme is peed at Olaf for flirting with Madame Lulu. God, he is such a dick to her in that book XD But I don't like Kevin's constant whining. At first, it's kinda funny but after a while, I want to smack him in the face.

I like the Slippery Slope, mostly because of the Violet/Quigley relationship. (:B)

I changed my vote. I like The End best. It's a tough decision, though.

I love Esme's "freak dress" and I love Count Olaf scheme with lions. And it was also very interesting to learn who helped Count Olaf to find Baudelaires... I have got some other reasons else but TCC is my favorite book anyway. No, it is not the only book I like. I like the Penultimate Peril, Bad Beginning, Erzats Elevator, Slippery Slope Grim Grotto. But "Carnivorous Carnival" is the most favorite! Life for TCC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I love them all, but because I have only read until the seventh book (reading the eight book), I can't say for sure. Although I own the UA I didn't understand a thing because I haven't read the whole series. I'm looking foward to finishing the series and enjoying the UA and maybe discovering what VFD means.
Edit- I'm now at TGG
