The 667er As part of 667’s 10th anniversary this year, a special edition of The 667er is being run. For those of you who are unaware, The 667er was a weekly newspaper published every Sunday in Chaotic Creativity. There is an archive hereBefore people begin writing articles, I’d like to get an idea of what to include in the paper. Some of the traditional articles include the ones listed hereWhich articles do you think should be in the paper? Is there any new articles you’d like to see? Also if anyone really has their heart set on a particular article, feel free to say so. Possible ArticlesRants- by Kensicle Summary of the darkies- by Lemona Snicket ATWQ update- by Dante. Could you please fix the links, Brunch? They're not showing up for me for some reason. I'm definitely interested in seeing more of this!

Rants, stories on recent events at 667? Summary of the Darkies?

A summary of recent events on the forums seems good, where "recent events" can be traced back to the Darkies and includes other anniversary preparations. An introduction to the concept of The 667er and some of its history seems like a good idea. I might do some kind of Snicket news article bringing people up-to-date on ATWQ, too. You may want to ask people, once the content has been set, to make banners for each article, and it would probably be a good idea to set some sort of timescale for production - when do you want this finished by?

Thank-you, everyone for your suggestions, I'll list them in the first post. Well, we still have some time before June, and people can write and submit articles whenever is best for them. Ideally it would be great to have them all in a week before the celebrations begin- June 18th.
Kensicle, I like your idea of a timeline, instead of having one for the forum we could perhaps just have one for the paper, which ties in with the introduction and history of The 667er suggested by Dante.

I would love to contribute with any sort of article or banner-making, if needed.

Like F.D., I could also contribute to the graphic portion of the paper. (Something keep in mind also, though perhaps not at this moment, is layout. What should go at the top of the page? What's most important? Are the article lengths varied?)
As for articles, having some sort of in-depth or investigative report could be interesting. What goes on behind the scenes of 667? Something else to be included might be a cooking section, written as a sort of joke (see: The Puzzling Puzzles, Puttanesca recipe).
Edit: Also, having a copy editor might be a good idea - unless you planned to take that on yourself, Brunch?

Thank-you, both F.D and Sherry-Ann, your graphics would be very much appreciated. One thing that immediately comes to mind to have at the top of the page is the introductory/The 667er's history, and then most important down I guess. But I feel it would be wise to include the ASoUE section quite near the top.
I'm assuming "what goes on behind the scenes would have to be written by a moderator or another staff member. I do like the idea of a cooking section, do you think it would be only restricted to ASoUE foods? (I haven't read the puzzling puzzles- I've only ever flipped through it in a bookstore in Spain).
Another idea I thought would be quite good would be an advice section, like what was originally done in the paper. Thoughts?
Edit: Yes, I was planning to copy edit it, but if anybody is able to assist, help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't mind doing film reviews? The Hunger Games? And I'm going to see The Avengers today.

On the review topic, I love ranting about music with my friends, I can do an album review, if you feel like it would be cool. Edit: Of course, you don't want to be repetitive on the review topic, so just forget this idea.

Could someone do the Subjective Flaneur?
An unadvice section that givese useless and comical advice would be good.

I have a couple of suggestions. The first is that there are a ton of old banners in the archives that we can use. Also the link that Kensicle posted has a list of all the different articles that were posted in the year 2006, if you're looking for an article idea. And finally the timeline is actually a separate project that I'll be in charge of; I was planning to start a thread for it tomorrow once I figure out which board to put it in. In the anniversary planning thread we have them, along with Dante's collaborative story, set to be released on the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday before the anniversary, one each day. I really think the two projects need to stay separate, because my plans for timeline see it being as long, if not longer, than the 667er and it would take emphasis away from the other articles. Maybe the timeline could be posted the day after the 667er and there could be a teaser in the 667er? Edit: I went through old issues and found a bunch of banners. If you see one you like for an article, snag it! Some of them will have to be altered because they have people's names on them. editorial: i6.photobucket.com/albums/y228/PJTheHatter/editorial.jpgshelly: i29.photobucket.com/albums/c252/shelly247/Slow/ban.jpgmovie review: i4.tinypic.com/6oawtb5.jpglibitina: i6.tinypic.com/85kxi6e.jpgmusings: i7.tinypic.com/6jallvn.jpgnewsline: i29.tinypic.com/dgh0ck.jpgmain banner: i48.photobucket.com/albums/f205/Akbar_Le_Grey/036ac887.pngsixteen's top 10: i25.tinypic.com/iznc6f.jpgthe reality show column: i27.tinypic.com/2isvxop.jpgdoctor love: i7.tinypic.com/8avrwjn.jpgsubjective flaneur: i1.tinypic.com/s48d1i.pngrant: i9.tinypic.com/6377hoi.jpgsnicket: img260.imageshack.us/img260/2757/editma2.jpgbaudelaire orphans: www.houseoftomorrow.com/i2003/lemony_audio.jpgpoetry: i16.tinypic.com/2potg1e.jpginterview: i6.tinypic.com/1zejqmb.gifart and literature review: i10.tinypic.com/4g7bofp.jpgwtf: i13.tinypic.com/4fxxbb4.jpgjemima: i80.photobucket.com/albums/j181/blackhalodecat/JemsRandomArticle.jpgrandom: img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/BSammy/articllllll.jpgbsam: i48.photobucket.com/albums/f205/Akbar_Le_Grey/nbnnn.pngjemima's unadvice column: img348.imageshack.us/img348/8799/jemima20cv.jpgtess: i60.photobucket.com/albums/h38/twistedbrain/Misc/Tesss-Thoughts.gifninja begone ad: i6.photobucket.com/albums/y228/PJTheHatter/Ninjabegone.jpghoroscope: img76.imageshack.us/img76/1145/horoscope3mh.png

Thanks for those Linda, those take me back.
I think I'll make a new one if I do end up contributing. I'm a bit more adept in that area now.
