I don't know - if we had the items pictured on the spines of the Egmont versions, but in a realistic style, on pitch-black backgrounds, I think that could work. Or other relevant items; I'd like to see Cleo's hat as the cover item of ?2, for instance. Of course, that would clash awfully with Seth's illustrations on the inside, but from a cover-only perspective, I think the Twilight model would work for ATWQ.

i agree with dante, i think that sort of cover design is not at all suited for a noir series like ATWQ.

I've always been a very big fan of the title cards from "Batman: The Animated Series", which had very cool film noir-inspired, minimalistic designs on a black background. I think one of my main issues with the books' cover design were the typefaces. If they'd only used some nice 50s film fonts, the design would've already been a big step up.

Something like those, taking the books as seriously as ASoUE's covers take their subject matter, would have been great.
