Yes, thank you to Ryan and to the many people who've posted links and pictures and new information here over the last few months.

Not really something new or reliable, but I just found the Facebook of one of the women who were part of the hair/makeup department, and she shared the unofficial trailer. When someone asked her if the show was for kids she said:
"Weird trailer. It's a comedy for kids, but dark at times. Kids love this stuff. This trailer is so dark. Don't know when or where it was done. We as a crew don't remember doing it."
Don't know how to feel about it being described as a "comedy for kids" honestly.

I would suggest that somebody who doesn't know whether she was involved with the fake trailer or not may not be terribly close to the heart and soul of the production. Without wishing to understate the importance of the work they do, I don't know that the hair and makeup department would have been terribly close to the writing process or filming as a whole. That is my consolatory suggestion to you.
...Also, "a comedy for kids, but dark at times" would probably still be closer to the mark than the 2004 movie.

Not a fan of that font.. reminds me of a bad Nightmare-Before-Christmas imitation. But I'm hoping all the design things were only temporary for the shoot.

Has it been discussed that Klaus is holding a spyglass in the eye centre bit? So like maybe they're keeping some elements of the movie after all?

In case anyone hasnt seen, the cast has been posting pictures from the wrap party. If you want to see them, try malina weissman and louis hynes' instagrams. ) I figured I may as well post those photos here:

And another one. Well, I don't think she's playing Aunt Josephine. (We all know Bernadette Peters has that role.) Dr. Orwell, perhaps? ...There aren't many female characters in the first few books. Who did Elizabeth Bowen play? Was she a mill worker, maybe? Or a bit part we super missed?
