I have got all the ingredients for the Tiny Boring Meal so I can cook it later today.
For lunch I used the rest of the tofu and some of the beans to deliberately make the complete opposite of a Tiny Boring Meal (Big Exciting Meal?), which was pan fried crispy tofu and vegetables with a sweet and sour chili sauce with ALL THE FLAVOUR in, it was spicy and sweet and sour and salty and sticky and very satisfying so I might be able to cope with the lack of flavour later.
I also desperately tried to find a shop that sells potatoes loose, but I couldn't find one, so the smallest amount I could get was 750g of baby potatoes. I really don't know what to do with the rest of them.

This is my tiny serving of boring: It was more edible than I thought but, well, boring. 3/13.

I had a stress dream that I made the Cheer-Up Cheeseburger but forgot to add the smiley face. For some reason instead of simply adding the face, I took the burger to my room and ate it as fast as possible to hide the evidence of my failure.

I made spaghetti puttanesca for dinner yesterday. I love every single thing about puttanesca sauce and I'm a fan of pasta in general, so this gets a 13/13 from me.

I had burnt toast for lunch today The crust was already quite burnt when the rest of the bread wasn't quite what I would consider burnt yet, it would probably have worked better with shop bought bread. I liked having burnt toast on purpose, it felt like being allowed to do something that is normally forbidden. I spread pesto on it and also added some vegetables and cheese on the side because balanced meal and stuff. 10/13, I like dark toast. This evening we made pancakes. The flat ones, not American ones. I prefer having American ones when eating out and flat ones at home, because they are nicer to eat individually and put different toppings on each one, especially when you make them really thin and quite small so you can have more different ones. This is one of the ones I ate, with nutella and banana on. These are the leftover ones. 12/13. The only reason why I'm not giving 13 is that I ate 5 of them (small ones but still, FIVE) and I feel super fat now.

All your meals look so good! Your pictures have made me want to make puttanesca sauce again soon. I just had pancakes, which means I've finally completed everything from The Bad Beginning. I had four pancakes (the crepe sort, as you can see), three of them with lemon and sugar, one with raspberry jam. Rating: 15/13, I absolutely adore pancakes.

You all inspired me so I made breakfast for dinner: thin pancakes with lingonberries, lemon, and a bit of sugar. I also had pasta puttanesca for lunch and I added mushrooms that needed to be used.

That looks so good. I used the last of the pancake mixture to make one final pancake for my breakfast this morning. I'm also going to make pasta puttanesca again tonight. I should also be getting ingredients for The Wide Window recipes today or tomorrow.

I've been apprehensive about trying the chicken since I actually don't like chicken (exception: teriyaki), but I like the idea of making it bite-sized so I can get it over with.

I made pasta puttanesca again last night,, and it was DELICIOUS. I didn’t have many capers so I chopped up some preserved lemon and added that, which was really good. The Wide Window meals will begin shortly! (Still working on a couple of TRR dishes as well.)

Peppermints Peppermints have been consumed. I didn't get the individually wrapped ones because a) I wanted to use as little plastic as possible, and b) those ones all seem to have palm oil in, whereas these mint crumbles don't. Rating: 9/13, I like peppermints. No allergic reactions as yet.
