He made up a bunch of spells, like that Pixie one, but I think that if you put it into a book, it has to be real.

Nono, the pixie one he improvised on the spot. The achievements, including the homorphus charm, have to be real, he just needs to steal those. Which is infuriating if he ruined the only chance of curing the werewolves. Imagine what would happen if you used that on Fenrir.

But I just think someone should kill him--he's too evil to deserve to live. He bit Remus and hit Bill! Why wouldn't someone use the homorphus on Remus, though?

I'd use it on Fenrir first because he's the one most likely to spread... werewolfism. Then Remus. Unfortunately I don't think we'll see any more of the homorphus charm. It's one of those things I really want to happen, like curing Frank and Alice, which just won't happen.

Yeah. It's a done deal. They'll just be werewolves forever. Besides, I kind of think Remus will die, anyways. Either that or Tonks will, which is sad. They're so cute.
I can't think of any other questions...

Why can't Frank and Alice be cured? Out of all these random magical potions, plants, and charms, no combination or single one of them can cure what happened to them, not even in 15 years?

I think that they just cannot be cured because they don't know how. That may seem ridiculous, but I dunno. They have been driven insane, literally, and I'm not really sure the Healers know what to do about that.
That's a very difficult question.

I just wish they could be cured by some miracle, that's all.
I think I'm running out of questions. Why doesn't the ministry refuse to hire people who can't do a simple shielding charm?

I'm going to turn this thread into a general why? for HP. Just pose any question about why something did/didn't happen in HP. Here's my WHY question: Dumbledore (and also, I believe, Slughorn) says that killing damages the soul. Why, then, does Dumbledore insist that Harry has to kill Voldemort, and even encourages him to do so in HBP?

Dumbledore (and also, I believe, Slughorn) says that killing damages the soul. Why, then, does Dumbledore insist that Harry has to kill Voldemort, and even encourages him to do so in HBP? I wondered about that too and the most reasonable explanation I came up with was this: Dumbledore tells Harry that the prophecy doesn't have to come true. It's only going to happen because Voldemort will make it happen. So, Harry has to defend himself by killing Voldemort. But that doesn't work, because Harry admits that he doesn't want anyone else to kill Voldemort which Dumbledore is aware of. That's a good question, DD.

Anyone who will go up against whatever they're against, they'll hire. And the other question, basically what Sixteen said... I can't think of anything else. At the moment.

I guess my real concern is that DD spent so much of his final efforts in protecting Harry. Why would he be so gung-ho about Harry killing L.V. when it would do Harry so much harm? Not only that, but how many others would Harry have to kill just to get to L.V.? Harry would have to totally give himself over to hate in order to succeed, which as we all know from Star Wars can turn a hero to the Dark Side.

But Dumbledore has killed people. Well... did. He killed Grindewald, didn't he? He's not evil.
My sister said that her friend said that Harry will kill Lord Voldemort but will become evil in turn. So maybe they were thinking about this? I don't really believe that will happen, but...

Sometimes it's necessary to kill. Dumbledore's willing to do slight damage to one person's soul in order to save many. Besides, Dumbledore says there are other ways to kill a man, who says Harry has to use avada kedavra?
I highly doubt Harry will go evil, Dumbledore's safeguarded against this by encouraging the growth of love inside Harry's soul. And no one can say that Dumbledore killed Grindelwald, he was responsible for his "fall."
