Just wondering. And also, if you are a lurker presently, this thread would be the good place to de-lurk yourself. ;D

No, never had the chance. I was waiting for UE.net to open long before it did, and before they released the main site, they released the forums, so I joined for lack of anything better to do.

Yes. I've been lurking since...a very, very long time. Since before Antenora joined. I thought about joining many, many times, but never did until portions of the original screenplay of the LSaSoUE movie were posted and NO ONE replied, which I thought was a crime I should remedy. Then I just kind of started posting sporadically whenever I had anything to say.
I still think of myself as kind of a lurker, thus the Flaneur identity; most of my time here is spent logged out. Speaking as part of that shadowed crowd, I think Antenora's vision of lurkers as people lurking in the rafters watching all you members down here is very accurate.

I never lurked before I joined, but lately I haven't been posting as much, and more lurking around leafing through threads

I was a lurker over a year before I actually joined, but then I lost track of this site, found it again much later, and lurked some more. At some point along the way, I decided that I really wanted to join this place.
I also read almost every section(when I have the time, anyway) although I only really post in a few.

I too lurked for some time, both before and after joining...

I lurked for a bit. I tend to lurk on a forum before I join, to get an idea about what a forum is like and see if I really want to spend my time there.

I think I joined the first day I found 677.
Typing in the dark is evil, I hit a mystery key and my whole post vanished.

I lurked for an hour or so, then found a post I really wanted to respond to, so I joined.

I joined, but didn't post anything for about six months, I suppose. I still don't post much unless I actually have something to add to a conversation/discussion.

I lurked for 2 or 3 months before I joined, and I was really only lurking because of the movie section. The pressure of wanting to respond to posts kept building higher and higher, so I finally joined in June.

I lurked for months - my parents were unfamiliar with the Internet at the time, and didn't let me join any message-boards. And I read nearly all sections, but I've been posting less - and spending less time here in general - recently, as I'm trying to get back into my school routine.
