I enjoy slash stories for what they are: stories. And I don't like graphic ones... implied is better.
I like the Japanese anime 'Gravitation.' It's a good storyline, not just mushy love stuff but also well written, good comedy.
I have a friend who really likes slash. Somewhere along the line, she corrupted me, and that's why I like it.
I like fanfics, but only if they stay true to the character (unless they're done purely for comedy and exagerrate little aspects of the character's personality). I myself write fanfics (along with original stories, but until recently I wasn't creative enough to come up with my own characters without making it a Mary-Sue), but I try to stay true to the characters and explore them more, what may be their motivation for things, etc.
Madamluna, I'm kinda like you, I unintentionally slash things I like (I think it's a habit picked up from the aforementioned friend).
Enjolras and Grantaire is a good pairing (although Enjolras wouldn't think that).
An interesting note, though, in real live I disapprove of homosexuality (I'm a Christian). Do I hate homosexuals? Definately not, they're people too. Likewise, I'm a person, it's not my place to judge them. And, as I said, I don't like slash because it is slash, I like it for a good story... I'd like it the same (or, depending on the content, dislike it the same) if it were het.
