In English we had to read a one of Edgar Allen Poe's storys entitled "The Cask Of Amontialldo". It was pretty creepy, but anyways, one of the main characters, I forget the, name, seemed to cough alot, and some ironic forshadowing was bounced off his coughs unto the revalation of his murder, if that makes sense. Its just this character may be formed by Mr. Snicket of the persistant coughing, plus he is from Edgar Allen Poe. Please let me know about what you think please!!!

I know that story. I noticed the same thing about a month ago, but you just reminded me! There is a lot of bells in that story too, I think.

geez, I've read the Cask of Almontillado like a billion times and never thought Fortundo coughing could be something linked to Snicket. nice one  |

I'm going to read it over, and de-sebald it when I get the time. What kind of foreshadowing was there relating to the cough?

How Fortunado said that he wouldnt die of a cough, and Montesor agreed and said that he would not die of a cough, yeah, we talked about it in our english class, I cant say exactly, and foreshadowing may not be the right word, maybe its more of just irony.

We all know that Snicket took much information out of other works of lit. so any of Edgar Allen Poes books are almost to easy to miss. If any of you have read more Poe stories please inform me if they have any correlation towards ASOUE. Thanx.

Besides, Mr Poe's kids are called Edgar and Allan. Or was it Albert?

It was Albert, but I should read more of his works, they seem to contain many clues.
