I have all the books.
And... the local book store had a pull-of-a-page-every-day calender counting down the days till TE came out. I got the three last ones. They have a funny message warning of the woe to come, and a picture from the books. They're pretty cool. I want to get them framed when I get the chance.

That sounds pretty cool. You couldn't take a picture of it, by any chance? I don't think I'd heard of that promo item before.

I have a few of those pages as well. I'll try to find them.

My mother bought me every single book available (1-11) for Christmas in 2004. I read them all in a period of 3 days.
That was the best Christmas gift I'd ever received.
My father bought me TPP on it's release date because I begged him for it...and I bought The End as a gift to myself because I actually had the money.
I also own the full screen version of the movie.

I envy you, seriously. What I have is the complete series (clean, without anyone significant's signature.. ), The Beatrice Letters, The Unauthorized Autobiography, The Blank Book and the movie CD. I've been wanting to buy Tragic Treasury for quite a while now, but I just can't find it. Oh, and I have one of the games, the one for PS2, and that's about it.

I only own three of the books, which were all found at various thrift stores, and the movie. TBB and TWW were at the same one (hardcover). TSS my sister found at another one (paperback). Movie my sisters got me for my birthday.
I borrowed them from my friend to read them, as I am borrowing TUA right now.

MasterKlaus: Your parents bought you a 200-dollar tarot card set!? Yes, they did. But it's extremely rare cause it was never seen before. And trust me, I can tell it was Lemony Snicket material. It had original font of writing on it. Original pics of book series. But I'm sure someone in 667 is a bigger collector of ASOUE stuff.

I currently own all the books in the series. The first ten I managed to get from a Scholastic Book Order at my school for $30, the eleventh, twelfth, and UA I got as Christmas presents, I managed to get TBL and TE from a bookstore, and I have a DVD version of the movie as well. I thought it would be interesting if I got The Tragic Treasury, but I'm not sure now. I think I've got enough Snicket stuff already.

I own a cardboard stand reading 'A Series of Unfortunate Events', followed by a large picture of an eye (not a VFD eye), and beneath that 'Troublesome, treacherous tales by Mr Lemony Snicket'.
I nicked it from some kind of event - I seem to recall it was a quiz with an actor portraying Count Olaf - and have always regretted taking it because there were also some stands of full-colour book illustrations which were much nicer. That said, it could have been a lot harder to get that out of the hall unnoticed.
Yes, I am a common thief.

I haven't heard of anything of the kind. Fun event? How was "Olaf"? I have a lot of promo items, and while I got them legitimately then I did get them by exercising undemocratic influence, so...

The stand was the nearest thing to the door though, so it was really the only thing I could take without being noticed. I probably should have asked and then I could have got one of the illustrations.
The event was just after The End had come out - it was part of the Bath Festival of Literature. Or the Cheltenam Festival. The guy playing Olaf looked reasonably faithful - in fact quite similar to Jim Carrey - although I'm not sure if he read the books since he squirmed to come up with an answer when a group of kids informed him "You're dead!"
The quiz was a bit of a let-down tho because they just chose six audience members to come up on the stage and actually answer the questions and then none of the audience was mentioned again.
