What?! Ebay has items you've never known anybody to have?? What are they? I must have them.
As for the postcards, I remember them being out with the release of TUA (I thought it was the British version). They were photo postcards similar to the ones in the book.

Good idea for a big box o' promos, Dante. Although it's unlikely to happen, here's some names:
The Pitiful Promotions The Gruesome Goodies The Bad Badges, Sordid Stands, & Other Series Of Unfortunate Events Promotions The Banished Box Of Prime Promotions
The box design could have some real potential...maybe as one of the buildings in the series that opens up from the roof?
As for stuff on eBay, I checked eBay UK and whilst I found a boxset of TBB-TSS, TPP on audio CD, a 40x30 movie poster, a copy of TWW with underlined passages being sold by someone named 'volunteer72', and the 12 books stacked on top of each other with one book in the wrong order, there was nothing strange. Going to check eBay US now.

What?! Ebay has items you've never known anybody to have?? What are they? I must have them. There was some B12 information folder thing, which I guess someone might have brought up before, and I remembered those old cards which somebody linked to the eBay page of prior to TPP's release. But I don't know what to search for, so I can't narrow it down and find it. But there's some neat stuff there - I remember a wicked-looking TGG bandana, which Countess Dracula mentioned but which I don't think you did. British? That'd be a first. But it doesn't ring a bell, and I've never seen 'em. Then again, when do I ever? I'm not even sure when the U.A. came out here, and I got it from Amazon anyway.

Ebay US had a CONFIDENTIAL file which looked interesting, but expensive. I've also been watching a set of refrigerator magnets from UK which no one seems interested in. I would bid on them, but the shipping is kinda steep. (EDIT: Dante, you just beat me to the post.)

'Confidential' file? I propose it was either fake or snatched from the offices of the publishers and contained things Handler needed to refer to to write TPP without any gaping plot holes.

The box of promotional goodies I got for TPP was also stamped CONFIDENTIAL just like the file. I keep all my promo items in it. I guess that's why I don't mind so much passing on the file.
My list of the "Promos that Got Away":
Misfortune telling cards TGG bandana TGG bookmark black "Lemony's Back" t-shirt

Looks sheerly like something used to promote the series to me (the file), with perhaps a few hints on future books.

A certain Efogoto scanned a crowd postcard a long time ago, but there are arrows and stuff to point Snicket, and cameramen.

To which I add:
One hardcover U.S. edition of the Unauthorized Autobiography The Puzzling Puzzles
I ordered both of those from B&N at the start of the month, and just received them today.
So, let me make a full list.
Egmont TBB, TRR, TWW, TMM, TAA, TEE, TVV, THH, TCC, TSS, TGG, TPP, U.A., Blank Book. HarperCollins BBRE, TSS, U.A., NNotations, PPuzzles. 1 Snicket sticker sheet; 5 Snicket buttons/badges/pins; 1 pack of Misfortune Telling Cards; 1 packet of TGG tissues; 1 TGG flashlight/torch; 3 Snicket mirrors; 1 set of collapsible binoculars.
Edit: June 8th, I now have Egmont's special edition of TBB, which is either the Collector's Edition or the Special Edition or something like that. It has some new colour art, but contrary to some supposedly official sources, doesn't have the Rare Edition notes (but I already knew that).

I have the first 9 in box sets of 3, and I have the 10th, 11th, and 12th seperately. I have the UA. Funny story about how I got book 11: My little sister loved these books so I started reading them one day a few years ago when I was bored. I was obsessed for a while, but then I graduated from high school and started getting preoccupied with preparing for college and what-not. I had totally forgotten about TGG by September (when it was released). I was walking around downtown Holland with 2 of my friends, because we found out about this scavenger hunt thing. You had to go to like 30 stores and get stamped to be put in a drawing to win a prize. Some of the stores were giving out free things so we decided to try it out. We saw that Treehouse Books was on the list. We went inside and I saw copies and copies of TGG and was like, "Oh yeah!!! I love these books! I totally forgot about them!" Well, when we got to the counter to have the lady stamp our paper, they had this paper tree with paper apples on it. You could pick the apples off the tree and they had deals on them. I got one that said, "One children's book, 15% off" (or something to that effect). It was one of the best days of my life I tell ya. Sorry that was so long and drawn out, but I just remembered when I saw the name of this thread! Now I feel all excited and giddy again!!

The most awful thing happened to mine, more likely my cousins. I borrowed 5, 6 and 7 from her and lent them to a friend than got it back and lent it to another friend along with my 4 and there was not enough space in the persons bag for the books to fit so they left them next to their school bag and when their parents came to fetch them from school they forgot about the books. The books were gone the next day. We don't know what to do and now its school holidays for next 3 weeks so books will be long gone. my cousin and aunt will kill me so we have to buy books back before they ask.

My list of the "Promos that Got Away": Misfortune telling cards TGG bandana TGG bookmark black "Lemony's Back" t-shirt I can cross two of those off my list. I now have a TGG bandana and bookmark. I bought a signed copy of Adverbs off of ebay. The seller forgot to mail it and sent those along when she finally did mail it to make up for it. She also sent a TGG flashlight, but I already had one of those.

I don't have much of a collection! I own all the books, plus The Blank Book and the rare edition of The Bad Beginning, and I have a door hanger that came with a boxed set, and I have the white "Things Are Looking Worse" T-shirt.

Here's what I have:
TBB - TEE: Bought at a school book sale. TVV - THH: Bought at Barnes and Noble. TCC, TSS: Ordered at Amazon.com. Recieved about 4 days after release. TGG - TPP: Bought the day released at Barnes and Noble. TUA: Can't remember where I got it from. The Blank Book: Bought when I got TGG.
I am most definitely going to buy TE.
