u know ho the vfd headquarters has 3 symbols for the passwords?? do u think 667 could be one even though it's burnt down?? and do u think that 667 is a code that means something like 'the world is quiet here'? it's so confusing, soooooooooo many mysteries and i'm probably worng/this has already been brought up but when i think of it, it just makes more sense...

You know since the penthouse belongs to E, and E was/is part of VFD, maybe in one of the rooms, there was a secret passageway so that the VFD mebers could sneak up into the headquarters, or it could just be that the headquarters was in that little place the Baud's walked through. There are many possiblities. Well the penthouse was very big. Maybe it had the secret passageway in the library. Maybe E knew that Klaus wouldn't be intrested in in and out books.

It had to be a V.F.D Headquaters but I cant think of 667 being some kind of code.

If there WAS another way to get to the 67th floor from the penthouse, then VFD members could easily get to the penthouse, and since it has so many rooms, Jerome or Esme could have used one of the rooms that no one usually goes in for a VFD meeting room or something like that

Jerome wasnt a member of VFD so Jaques needed him to buy it and guard it. He did this because since Jerome wasnted in VFD he wouldnt be too suspicious. Esme then found out about this and needed to get this so it wouldnt go to the good side of VFD so she married Jerome after one night together.

[glow=red,2,300]i agree with pester and samantha madison. the fact that it is easy to get lost in the penthouse also makes it easy to hide something. why else would they have numerous amounts of the same room? maybe there is a room so totally out of the ordinary in the penthouse (in other words something like a garage or anything that couldnt possibly fit in an apartment) which is where the passageway is located. maybe eseme knew about the passage and bought the penthouse because it could have happened before the schism

I had a very gaphic dream last night, it was creepy. Violet enters the in and out library full of red volumes. She then crouches down and takes a book from the bottom shelf marked 1966 to 1967. She flips it open and finds a silver key. She then takes all the books from the bottom shelf and finds a trap door. She crawls through, goes up a ladder and finds herself in a living room.

No. I just remember a short glance at the room. But I think she saw a ghost in white.

[glow=red,2,300]i'm still standing by my theory, but thats mad awesome how you can have a dream and remember it. what if there was a book 1666-1667??? that would have made more sense, but w/e [/glow]

I agree with Ineedyourhelp. Jerome does whatever Jaques tells him to do. Since this is true, Jaques must have told Jerome to buy the penthouse and never sell it because something very VFDish is hidden either in the penthouse, or in this mysterious room above the penthouse. Once Olaf and his goonies found out that the penthouse had been bought, they sent Esme in undercover to try and take control of the situation. Once Esme was in, I suspect this is when the hook handed man became the doorman and then all of Jerome's letters were intercepted. Then the baddies were one up on the goodies.

what an interesting theory!
well, on page 2 of this topic, someone (sorry, i forget who) said that the penthouse was so big that you could hide something there. Well, that got me thinkin. What if the previous occupier (a VFDer no doubt) hid the sugar bowl in there, but the penthouse was so big that Esme never found it?

I agree with you on that, and that's been sorta my theory for a while. It just makes sense....but the one flaw in this theory is: In the letter from Jerome to Jacques, replying from Jacques' letter sent to Jerome, I suppose, he said to NOT MARRY ESME ON ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. But, he did. So...if he does everything that Jacques tells him to...why did he not follow directions this time? It's just odd.
