Welcome, teendude. Hope you enjoy 667. It's really fun and enjoyable.
Cakesniffer, I imagine either does not mean anything, or it may mean, "Someone who sniffes cakes." It doesn't make much sense, but then again, neither does Carmelita.

It doesn't make much sense, but then again, neither does Carmelita. This is been discussed, and most of us came to a conclusion that calling someone a 'cakesniffer' was saying that they are too poor to buy cakes, and so have to stand there sniffing them instead. (: If you want to know if a theory has been discussed, teendude, then there's a 'search' option next on the bar with 'home.'

"Cakesniffer" also implies a lack of politeness, since it's considered rude to sniff at food(dessert course or otherwise) in formal company.

What?! How did Teendude get a thousand posts when I only just turned into a Devious Doorman after a year of posting?
And please don't stretch the page. It makes me dizzy.

Yes, let's edit that a little, MrQuagmire.
And, as has been said, it's related to Marie Antoinette "Well, let them eat cake instead." Silly woman. She thought that they had run out of bread, when instead they couldn't afford it. And technically it wasn't cake, it was this kind of cake-bread, brioche. I've had it, it's tasty.
