TMM occupies a pretty uneasy place in the series. It's right before the series starts to get much more complex in TAA, which introduces two continuous plotlines, and it comes right after a pretty decent trilogy... I agree, Dante. About the whole "animated" thing, I would totally not watch it if it were animated. Well, I would, but I would be extremely disappointed. I think it's alot better with real people .

It would be great with people, but if they do do it animated, i would like to at least see the actors from the first films voice the characters as they were drawn in the books. and someones making 13 movies on all of the books thejanit0r.newgrounds.com/news/post/505397

Isn't IMDB's data all user-generated, though? Although that's not to say that it's not happening; we do know that there have been pushes for a second movie in recent years.

iMDB is about as reliable as Wikipedia, yes - even worse, in fact, because it doesn't require a source. It's particularly bad because fans tend to add unsubstantiated speculation to unaired stuff and it stays there for months until the thing actually gets released.

I've checked the interviews with the movie-makers and they say there aren't plans on a sequel yet. Since it's been six years since the last movie came out, they'd have to go through the trouble of hiring new actors for the kids.

Which is probably why they were mooting claymation a while back.

This movie is in list "Movies that won't be Made". Are you sure it would be made?

I wouldn't worry about it. That line was added by an anonymous editor who only made one other edit, which was an instance of vandalism. They don't know anything.

well it is now 2012. It has been 8 years since the movie was released. However, i have been researching the series and have discovered many rumours of a sequel movie to be made. There are a few sources from Mr. Sniket himself, which is of course a trustworthy source. I hope with my whole heart, that a second movie is made, but i have many questions as to how it would be made, what actors would play the roles( as the age of the original baudelaire children, would of course be an obstacle)
