In Alice in Wonderland they play croquet with the queen constantly ordering "off with his head" every 2 seconds. Death and croquet, fits perfectly.

In The Last Continent by Terry Pratchett, there's a mention of croquet and someone says "We'll lock up his mallets when we get back".

My mom randomly bought a croquet set on Wednesday. Then, on friday, I went to a Canada Day party in which there was a croquet course set up. I played, and several people threatened other people with their mallets.

I found a charm bracelet on my dresser, and one of the charms was a sign saying "Old Absinthe House".

While walking around a college today, I saw a croquet set that had been left out.

In a book I read, based on the life of Lewis Carroll, Alice Liddell and Charles Dodgson (his true name) play croquet.

A while back, I was reading a book about the Civil War that mentioned "Culp's Hill".

I actually just finished reading The Basic Eight today. It was...interesting. My friend's neighbor's name is Adam, and he is rather obnoxious. V___ reminded me of a girl in my class whose name begins with the same letter. Also, I have always been tempted to hit someone with a croquet mallet (but not kill them of course).

On a field trip recently, I passed a coffee shop. The name? Panache.

In Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula , Mina Murray is seduced by Dracula when drinking absinthe.
I've also bought a book on absinthe.

A book I recently read mentioned croquet, and at school, somebody drew something which looked remarkably like a croquet mallet.
