I wrote to Daniel Handler a many months ago, and sent it to his PO box instead of his publishers, and believe it or not, he wrote back a couple of months later. This mail was snail mail, so calm yourself. I was very pleased when it came, I was jumping with joy. The text within the letter is below, and pictures of the letter follow. The letter read: nly two things are more hazardous than writing to me during these times. They are eating mussles in July and receiving a rep y from me, both of which may leave you feverish, shaking, and alone. However, it c n also be very uncomfortable to wait day a ter day for a reply that never comes, as I have since my last letter to a dear frie d. Consequ ntly, I m sending you a lette containing Very Few Details. Accept my hum le thanks and fervent wishes for your continued saftey, as well as the safet of the familiar-looking neighbor with whom you have never spoken. With all due respect, Lemony Snicket *** He left out some letters, and when I wrote them down, it came out to say "Olaf is nearby". Pictures of le letter: Front of the letter: *** It says via VERY FAST DELIVERY Inside of the letter: And the back was just plain. ;D

That looks like a generic letter, but all the same it rocks.
Do you think the code in the letter qualifies as Verse Fluctuation Declaration, as it works on much the same principle?

That is so cool, and I recognise the letter-dropping code. It's the same one Handler used on the Lunchables Daily Punctilio booklet things. However, it hasn't been used in the series itself yet.

I'm sure that some of that must just be your own poor typing, but there's definitely a message there.

I made a really spiffy text that had the message: That was lame But I accidentally hit the reset button and was too lazy to re-do it.

Care to elaborate on the Lunchables Daily Punctilio? I have no idea what that is. It was a promotion done here in Americaland by the Lunchables prepackaged lunch company. One of the booklets looked like this: (Curiously, I found that one in my driveway)

I wrote to Daniel Handler a many months ago, and sent it to his PO box instead of his publishers, What's his PO box address? I've never seen that listed anywhere, just Harper-Collins.

I'd just like to say that perhaps it would be better to PM that information to Gigi rather than put it up publicly for anyone to see.
