SUCH short notice, I only just realized, Daniel Handler will be on BBC Breakfast in the UK (BBC 1). If you're in the UK, set a tape or something, if not, I'm taping it, I'll watch it and let you know what he says.

I just watched that. Thank you for posting, because I never would have known about it otherwise. It was mostly about Adverbs, although they talked about The End as well. He was only on for about five minutes, which is average for one of those shows, I think. The presenters were a bit overwhelmed by the end.

I can't believe I missed that! Did he say anything interesting?

Can anyone type up a transcript for those of us that don't live there?

I will as soon as possible, Gigi!
It was a short interveiw, it was about Adverbs, like phoebonica said, but he was very funny and the presenters were very scared.

Scared? Of Handler? They must not be very familiar with him, or they would have thought he was funny instead.

I like when people don't understand his dark humour. They get uncomfortable and think he's being serious. It's hilarious!

That sounds amazing. I REALLY wish I could've seen him talk about Adverbs and The End. Watching him making everyone around uncomfortable would be an added bonus.

I taped it. I'll try and transcribe it sometime, although I've lots to do right now. The presenters were indeed pretty uncomfortable; I don't think they knew quite what to expect.
Edit: Forget that. My parents deleted it, I'm afraid. I can remember a few parts, though. I remember one presenter repeatedly shouting "Lemony Snicket!" to get Handler's attention while he was going off on a tangent, and I paraphrase the following: "Indeed, if you do not buy Adverbs, you are against love. You are either with me or against me. I have seen the actions of my government and brought it down to my level." Throughout, he was very charming and eccentric, and the presenters really didn't seem to know how to deal with this - this individual.

Haha. The charming eccentric epithet reminds me of Dumbledore. mm. The government can be pretty ridiculous.
