My favourite was The Basic Eight. I found it the funniest (although it was dark, dry humour) and I liked the format more than that of the other two. But I'd give them all a read; if you don't want to pay for all three you can get them from the library or a friend or something.

Thank you, I went to Barnes and Nobel today and all they had was Watch Your Mouth so I bought it. Adverbs "didn't come out yet" and they don't stock The Basic eight for some reason.

Odd, considering Adverbs has been out for nearly a year, and The Basic Eight was just recently reprinted.

Yeah, my B&N also only had WYM.
But I ordered all three from Amazon.

Adverbs "didn't come out yet" ... Odd, considering Adverbs has been out for nearly a year... I don't know about TB8, but Adverbs is, according to B&N's site, being rereleased in paperback in April. Perhaps Hatram's local B&N just didn't notice the hardback when checking their records or whatever. At any rate, I got them in order of publication, although not until several years after they'd been published, and I got them in their lame British editions from Amazon.

I went to borders today and they had The Basic 8 (the new edition cause it had "from the author of Adverbs" on it) and they had Adverbs, but no Watch Your Mouth which is weird (since BN had only WYM). I got TB8 but not Adverbs cause it was 25 dollars.

The Basic Eight is my favorite, but Adverbs is probably the best to start out on. Watch Your Mouth ideally shouldn't be read first. Maybe it was just me, but it was the most graphic thing I have ever read. (I finished it a few hours before I met DH.) It was one of the few things that have truly disturbed me...but it was still a good read.
