i had a harriet the spy styled one and everything. Similarly, a few years ago I had a Harriet the Spy type of book where I wrote down conversations I'd overheard, and I wrote down descriptions of people's facial expressions as they talked. I had heard of some author doing this and then incorporating the stuff he wrote into his books, and I thought it sounded fun. But, also similar to Harriet the Spy, a friend of mine found the book and thought it was creepy so I stopped writing in it.

Or you could practice calligraphy in it. That seems like a nice thing to use a beautiful handmade silken notebook for. I have terrible calligraphy, and handwriting in general.
