I keep index cards with me whenever I read the books. They also serve well as bookmarks. =)

I keep notes inside the different books and in whatever notebook I happen to have with me when I'm reading. I don't keep one specific journal. I have lots of notebooks that I write stuff in.

My commonplace book, right now, is a bunch of scraps of paper that need to be compiled. I haven't even decided how I'm going to organize it. When I get enough to fill a book I'll decide what I'm going to keep.

It seems that, in ASoUE - and perhaps in real life - you just write everything down in the order you learn it. Perhaps, when you really have filled a book, that then is the time to reorganise? It's probably never a bad idea to be obliged to look through all of your previous clever and witty notations, too, in seeking a particular one.

I don't have a commonplace book about book things, but I have a little book that I carry with me all the time and I write all kinds of things inside when I have nothing else to do.

I have this commonplace book that serves to note things and keep sketches I draw about interesting things.

Also I have so many empty books to write in with nothing written in, because I just love these books and keep buying some even though I don't need one.

I literally can't go in a shop where there are empty books without buying one! When I was a kid I just coloured them (like completely), but I somehow feel too old for that now, even though it would still be awesome and fun for me.

It's funny cause this is the production company that makes Nightvale Oh my gosh -- I never made that link before! Wow, it would make sense if they were fans of the series, you can see the similarities.... I've had a few notebooks that have served the same function as commonplace books: filled with notes from books and lectures and a whole load of random facts; but I have never had a book which I have dedicated purely to the series -- I have several general notebooks in which the back pages are all notes on ASOUE, but not one just for the series.
