I type my notes and save them onto my computer.

I'd do that, but it doesn't have that authentic feel which one gets from actually scribbling stuff down in a notebook.

I agree; it's more fun to scrawl notes in a notebook than type them out.
Besides the notebook I carry around, I have a diary/sketchbook in which I write random thoughts and create random doodles.

I have one (meaning several), but I wouldn't call it an actual commonplace book. They have doodles, a secret code I invented, more doodles, a sketch from a scene from The Raven, to do lists, interesting facts, more doodles, vocabulary words I picked up from books and looked up.... I have a notebook that's actually labeled "Commonplace Book" but never use it.

My commonplace book has the Bad Beginning: Rare Edition notes copied onto it, and information from the UA, as well.

I'm a literalist. My commonplace book is a red leather number that serves as more of a diary than a commonplace book. I keep it under my bed. I also have a blue fat book that I intended to use a commonplace book, but then, lost organization. I have some interesting words I looked up from the dictionary in there.

I have a Blank Book, in which I write down the mysteries of VFD, aand the history of the Snicket siblings.

I use the Blank Book, and in it I have some information about Beatrice and a small fraction of what a food code could be. I also have some drawings in another notebook.

Mine is purple. It was a notebook that I got as a christmas present seven years ago. Write down things- link them together on paper to make the connections clearer. Sebald code decodings, etc.

I have a black one which is full, a yellow one that I am working on, and a green one that is also full. The black one contains mostly random ASOUE notes, along with a few other random things and two or three stories. The yellow one is all ASOUE fanfiction. (For now, anyway.) The green one has mostly ideas for plays in it, along with random entries that I can't remember ever writing. Not much of a commonplace book.....

I'm in the process of transferring mine from a petite beige journal with magenta, orange, black, and white polka dots of varying sizes to my new TNN!!! SO EXCITED! I put my theories, new theories I hear, publish dates for each book, the Sebald code, and random information like the stuff that was questioned on thenamelessnovel.com.
XOXO Christine

Oh, I have a copy of The Blank Book that I use for my journal. That's a more personal Commonplace book, however.

Welllll, I've always wanted a yellow commonplace book to symbolise Lemony Snicket. That name, for obviously unknown reasons, reminds me of yellow. Or green, since Lemony's actual commonplace book is green.
Or I could use a folder like Kit and keep all sorts of crap in there!

I have a little blue and white striped one, and in it I put interesting facts, quotes from books and movies, and poems. Unlike most people's it isn't entirely dedicated to ASOUE.

Maybe when The Beatrice Letters come out and The End comes out, I'll create a catalog of the entire series from what I have written down in my commonplace books. Information on V.F.D. and O.F.D., etc., etc.…
