Would anyone like to try this out? We'd choose books to read (anyone interested could submit ideas, then we'd vote). About every month or week or something (we can decide that later), we'd make sure to check back here and discuss it. It'd be good if everyone could think of a couple discussion questions, but it wouldn't be mandatory. Also, please try to suggest books that have been out for a while, so that if people have to get the books from the library, they're more likely to be available. Try also to keep the ages of people here in mind.
So, is anyone interested?
P.S. I know this was tried before in another topic, but it's died, so I'm just starting a new one.

We can start as soon as we choose a book. Any suggestions? For the record, the age range here is 13-23, and the average age is about 17 (assuming everyone was truthful with their age in their profile). I found this site: www.slco.lib.ut.us/bookquest.htmIt seems to have good suggestions, and has a good range for ages ('JF' is 'juvenile fiction', 'YF' is 'young adult fiction,' and 'F' is 'fiction (adult)'... YF or F would probably be best for this group). So, look through there and see what sounds interesting. Maybe we could choose one from a different topic (i.e. fantasy, humor, etc) each time, in order to be well-rounded, and so that everyone gets a chance to read from a topic they like.

Woah.... you ARE such a librarian.
I'm only seeing Young Adult fiction on this page, though... none of the other categories you mentionned...

I think Anna Karenina might be a bit difficult for the younger ones here... plus, I don't think I'd have time to read it (have you seen the size of that book?!), at least not 'til summer.
Any that swans listed sound good to me. I will say, though, that while my mom says 'A Spell for Chameleon' is good, it's really really slow at the start (I've never gotten through the first chapter, but then again, I haven't tried lately, but my mom says it gets better later). Also, there are currently 27 novels that come after that (it's his 'Xanth trilogy'... 3x3x3=27), not that we'd have to read all of them. Thinking about it, I'm not sure I'd want to read 'All That Remains.' Being college age myself, and being rather paranoid as it is, I'm not sure I should be reading about the murders of college-age people (I would be even more jumpy than usual).
So, what does everyone else think, of the five swans listed (and if you don't like any of them, say so, and suggest another from the list)? We'll see which is most popular amongst everyone here.

Anna is 849 pages long, I know, but we could still read it. I mean I've got that book(haven't read it yet), and yeah, it is thick.
