I think Mijahu can edit the spacing. If only the "weren't" part is wrong, I can just fix that part and Mijahu will edit it so I don't need to write the whole thing again. Anyway I'll just leave this here  and if it's "wasn't", here it is  |

'Weren't' is correct (though 'wasn't' is also possible). It's not just a tense thing; it's a mood (subjunctive). (So you can say 'I wish I were in Paris', although you can't say 'I were in Paris last week').
