Not thinking of a particular character, but Heathens by Twenty One Pilots really makes me think of the firestarting side of the VFD schism.

"Us" by Regina Spektor always reminds me of Lemony following the trail the Baudelaires left behind and reflecting on his time as a volunteer-in-training. The "statue" mentioned in the first and last verses is of Lemony and Beatrice and is located at the VFD headquarters in the Valley of Four Drafts in my head. Conversely, "Eet" (also Spektor, for the uninitiated) conjures an image of the Baudelaires and Olaf riding in the elevator at the Hotel Denouement and seeing people from their past trying to escape the fire.

I get Beatrice Baudelaire vibes from her song Sellers Of Flowers. ‘Somebody steps on a light through a tunnel. They’re holding a piece of their mind in the rubble. Hold on, I won’t let go, I want to know.’

Oh, yes! That song may well be the most Snicket-esque of her work. The chorus especially reminds me of THE END and CHAPTER FOURTEEN.

I saw her acoustically at the Sydney Opera House and she was sooooo good. Oh, you’re kidding! Lucky... she came to the city where I live and tickets sold out within five minutes... What? No, I’m not crying! You’re crying!

I like her, but she’s not my favourite singer. That’s Melanie Martinez.
