You left me curious. It will be to find a version with Legend in Portuguese? I'll try to find.

I just started reading the first chapters, but I'm already really enjoying the way it is narrated. Unlike Asoue, we are apparently in a more realistic universe, which is somewhat more frightening. Can poverty (which causes hunger and cold) be combated with inventiveness if people do not have the money or material to put good ideas into practice? That seems like a good topic to start with. I like the short chapters, and I like the pictures.

In the harpoon gun scene in Malamander, a harpoon is shot through a book which contains incredibly valuable information, and which the main characters neglected to read until it was too late. Also, the book involves a mysterious woman with the initial K who is often referred to as such, and recruits a twelve-year-old boy to work in a hotel and spy on the guests.

There is also a typewriter, and a chapter headed 'The Belly of the Beast'.

A 1968 collection of short stories by Dino Buzzati titled what translates to "The mystery boutique: 31 stories of everyday magic" - reminds me of "29 Myths on the Swinster Pharmacy"

Marceline from Adventure Time reminds me quite a bit of someone who's very fond of coffee... Compare Seth's illustration of Ellington to a picture of Marceline. It's almost scary. I personally think that Shego from Kim Possible looks more like Ellington. The hair, the eyebrows, the eyes, everything.

Strangely our library had set up smoke alarms and sprinklers. Were there threats of arson? Don’t install sprinklers in libraries people!

Set of many books destroyed by water in my city. The difference is that it was not due to fire prevention mechanisms, but because of flooding.

I was in a store today, and a wooden sign said "Ellington" in green letters.
