Yeah, good work, Terry Craig. And congrats on getting the package, Dante - another envelope to add to your collection. At first, I thought the librarian that is referred to in the first line was Dewey, but since he would have been around Lemony's age during this series, it's probably not him. However, Dewey could have had a predecessor. But I think I'm being paranoid. Also, on the crowd scene illustration, the time on the clocks is the same as the ones on the Chapter One illustration and the cover, so I reckon it's how Seth always draws clocks, and there's no real significance behind it. I'll have a thorough read of the chapter tomorrow, because Mum's yelling at me to go. Goodnight.

Very nice work on the colouration, Terry Craig. It looks so plausible. That is the actual coloring. It's present in the Snicket Apprentice Case. Great job Terry!

That is the actual coloring. It's present in the Snicket Apprentice Case. That confirms something I suspected - that the graph paper images are still just works-in-progress of a sort, which presumably extends to the Snicketmail images as well (although I suspect they're excerpts from bigger pictures, assuming they aren't entirely original for the e-mails).

Excellent work solidifying the illustrations, Terry Craig. I wonder why they gave us the drafts, then, if according to Cybermystery the final had already been completed?

To be more promotional. Teasers are all about providing us insight into the final work through fragmented, incomplete forms.

I was actually wondering more about the differences between both forms. No more information is provided in the finished version, so it's still "incomplete" in that respect, but isn't it more trouble to upload additional images that hold the same content? I suppose that the redesign - or predesign - makes the teasers more "exclusive," so viewers feel as though the makers put work into the process rather than just stealing from existing material. Also perhaps so they aren't confused with the book's graphics.

I demand to have a poster of the Ink logo. It really is wonderful.

The Ink Inc. display is highly suited to a poster, whether in monochrome (arguably more pertinent, but less interesting) or in colour; the one provided is A4 size (it's what Mr. Handler wrote his message on the back of). Hopefully that's a promo item they'll think of.

On the subject of promo items, I would really like to see a little bat tape measure.

Who wouldn't? More promotional items should be things from the books - or with a clearer relation. The apprentice case is an unusually immersive step in the right direction (or rather, several steps combined into a single package).

I'm hoping the apprentice case is only the beginning for merchandise.

Thanks for the appreciation, everybody. And I agree with Brunch, it'd be so cool if there'd be some merchandise for the series, like at least a poster of "Ink Inc."

The tape measure would be fantastic. I would love to get my paws on another one of those apprentice kits. Hopefully there's a way they get mass-produced, though I think that would defeat the purpose somewhat.
Maybe we could run some of those posters ourselves. Need a nice printer, though; mine certainly couldn't handle the strain.

I don't have a colour printer, but I printed out the illustration, the Ink Inc. picture and the scan of the napkin and they are now pinned onto my bedroom wall.
