-Oh, I've put up the second part of PJ's story, The Job. -Obviously, I can't change the thread's title, though. -Thanks, and done -So I'm back -I read The Monstrous Regiment, and have begun The Eye of the World, which is a pretty generic fantasy story, except with the twist of reincarnation thrown in -At least, I think so -They even have an evil guy who's name can't be spoken -And the traditional "hero's-village-is-destroyed-by-monsters-and-he-has-to-flee-to-save-them-from-doom" shtick, as well -And, I'm sure, the whole "I'm just a farmer boy, how can I have magical powers to save the world?" -Though I haven't read that far, yet -Say, anyone read Curse of the Mistwraith-It's pretty good -Two brothers, magical gifts, have to destroy the mistwraith, but when they do, they are cursed to try and kill each other for all eternity, and lots of wars ensue -Eh -I want to read more Terry Pratchett and Orson Scott Card books -And the rest of the Mistwraith series -....after I've read Spook's Curse, While I live, Hexwood and the 9 Wheel of Time books -Damn schedule -And by that time, I'm sure there will be another new book, or two, out -I.e Book 12 -Or some random small series that I will be forced to read -Eh, I've gone and ranted, haven't I? -Blasted MSN -Keeps making the computer go all Schitz -Meh -THIS TIME IT WILL WORK! -People seem to like the Job -By "people" I mean Dantenora -Thanks, guys -Next up will be The Yeti, I think -My horror-iest story -Or, at least, it is in my opinion -When I was going over it, I had to stop a few times, because I had terrible visions of someone silently standing behind me -Well, then, on to MSN! -...it just quit -AGAIN -*shun* -Ok, I'll stop talking -Blasted Dupin wrote too much Missing -Now I'll have to read it ALL -AND I HAVE NO TIME -Tomorow, then -Eh, I still need to check my 2 comics, and NN -...and ask my friends if we had any homework -With my luck, I'll have LOADS -Stupid sneaky homework -Eh -MSN sucks -I mean, who needs the stupid "MSN TODAY" thing anyway? -And if I quit it, the whole MSN goes down -At least, until it loads -WHICH ISN'T HAPPENING -Grrr -Well, I'll have to wait -Oh, and post

-Hogfather is wonderful. -All the Discworld books are great, but Hogfather is one of those I particularly like. -I'll soon be getting my own cellphone. -That's what Mother's been telling me. -Which reminds me of something odd I overheard on the bus a little while ago. -A girl was complaining that when she was text-messaging on her cellphone, it wouldn't let her type "LOL" but typed "JOL" instead. -I have to wonder how many of the people who say "LOL" are really laughing out loud, or at least snickering a little, or even just laughing inwardly. -My parents found something fun last night: - 3D animated orbit diagrams for potentially hazardous asteroids.-One called 1862 Apollo is going to get close to Earth this November. -There was also an orbit diagram for the new planet someplace on that site. -It's linked someplace here: www.gps.caltech.edu/~mbrown/planetlila/-They need to name that planet sometime.

-JOL. -That's crying out to become a meme. -I've finished Hogfather now. -I really liked it, although I spent quite a lot of the book having only the faintest idea what was going on. -Next is Jingo. -Oh, and Father let me put all his Discworld books in order. -And he said that he remembered reading The Last Hero and Going Postal (two recent books which he hasn't got on his shelves). -However, we looked around everwhere we thought they might be, but we couldn't find them. -I can hear a Tintin video in the lounge. -Mother appears to be asleep. -Father probably is too. -I think I'll be going out fairly soon. -I.e. as soon as my parents wake up. -We're going to a neat place which is hard to describe, but which should look cool in photographs. -My glasses still seem smudged. -And I think I might have cut myself somewhere other than on my finger, but I can't remember where, now. -Oh wait, I think I had a nosebleed earlier. -That was probably what I was thinking of. -And now, I think I've forgotten something. -Probably what I was going to say next. -The sky outside looks grey-white. -And the sun appears to be reflecting off it somewhat. -It also looks pretty windy, and not particularly sunny.

-I wonder what JOL could stand for. -Joking out loud? -It also stand for "journal of online law" apparently. -It's quiet here, except for the crickets. -Today, I'm going to have to do some cleaning in my room. -My dresser's a total mess. -Mother wants me to get rid of some of my shirts that I'm not wearing. -I have relatively few shirts that I actually wear. -I'll quote one of my favorite anti-Bush poems from that book my grandfather gave me: -A Scientific Observation (Using Some Experts Gail Sheehy Didn't Know About) on the Speaking Problems That Seem to Run in the Bush Family Calvin Trillin
He thinks that hostile's hostage. He cannot say subliminal. The way Bush treats the language Is bordering on criminal.
His daddy had the problem: He used the nounless predicate. Those cowboy boots can do that To people from Connecticut.

-I want to read more Discworld -I've read up on his books on Wikipedia -Rincewind sounds cool -I like Death, too -I shall have to read all the books about him, then... -And the one about Australia -The Fifth Continent, I think -Heh -Well, actually, that's my post, really -Unless I can think of something-oh, wait I remember -Story ideas -Yes, you're probably thinking "what kind of idiotic ideas has this moron come up with now?" -The answer is: 1) Some girl investigates the suicide of her boyfriend. Some kind of evil magic is behind it. No idea, really.
2) I like this one better. There's this fellow, and due to some administerial muck up in heaven, he's received a guardian angel, and an attack angel, too. Which means one of them tries to make him lucky and protect him from harm, whilst the other does his best to make the poor guy's life as uncomfortable as possible.
-Perhaps I can combine the two, but I doubt it -2) is a cooler idea than one -Meh

-It's actually called The Last Continent. -And there's something at the front stating that it's not a book about Australia, but a few things in it just happen to be a bit...Australian. -It's a good book, certainly. -I think it was either the second or third Discworld novel that I bought, the first being Small Gods. -Those story ideas are interesting, particularly the angel one. -You could combine them, I guess, by having the "attack angel" drive the boy to commit suicide. -That would probably be just stringing the two stories together, though. -I just took a bunch of clothes out of my dresser, and I'll go sort them later. -I should also read more of Crime and Punishment today. -I'm into Part 3 now(there are six parts, each composed of six or seven chapters). -I feel rather nervous right now. -These past few days, I've been feeling pretty uneasy.

-Idea 1 is more flexible, but idea 2 would be rather complex. -I think I came up with a story idea recently. -But then I may well have forgotten it. -Anyway, my walk was a lot longer than I'd anticipated. -Lousy maps have no depth. -And now I have to eat some actual orange, because Mother couldn't find any clementines. -Oh yeah, my walk. -Aside from the constant hill-climbing, and traipsing across sloping moorland on non-existant paths, and the way it was really long, and several other things, then yes, I suppose it was okay. -We're listening to Lord Edgeware Dies on an audio CD in the car. -I've read it, but I can't remember how it ends. -I keep on forgetting to destroy those remaining exercise books. -I must remember to do it later. -I'll remind my parents to remind me and each other. -Okay, done. -The sky looks pretty dark outside. -Hey, I think I have the URL of one of the photographs I took copied. -I think it's the one of the... -Ah, yes. -The cement-works. -Miles and miles of unspoilt countryside beauty, and they build that in the middle of it.

-I came home early from church, as I'm still sick -Last night was fun, I saw a bunch of my friends from camp/winterfest -I attempted to do the electric slide dance, but wasn't very good at it and made a fool out of myself -As usual -Probably one of the best parts was that Andrew was there *squee* -A.... shall I say "chubby" kid was attempted to break dance and was quite funny -I just got distracted from this post for about 5 minutes... oops -Hmm....

- I haven't posted here in a while..... - I feel like bursting into a rousing round of the song "Dig It" from the movie "Holes." - Which I saw last night. - It's a very good movie. - And an AWESOME book. - I highly reccommend it. - HIGHLY. - You gotta go and dig those holes.... - Wake up in the mornin', before the sun, gonna dig our holes 'til the day is done.... - Pshhh! That's pathetic right there.

-That picture is amazing, Dante -And your comment about it hilarious -I changed my avatar, I felt like it needed it -I have some homework left still -Some history/geography and a paper -I really don't want to do it -Holes is a good movie/book -I'm still working on Anna Karenina (to lazy to italicize it because I'm typing in quick reply again) -It has taken me an awful long time to read

-I read Holes before it was famous. -Or possibly before I discovered that it was famous. -I think it's the former, though. -Neat new avatar, Snicket-Face. -I've just been doing those exercise books in my room. -If I left it any later, I'd probably never have done it. -My parents can't really be relied upon. -There were three Science books (one each for Biology, Chemistry and Physics), and three History books (I kept on finishing them). -Actually, there might have been two Biology books. -There was also a folder of History work, and an old homework planner. -The latter was rather hard, as I had to take out the metal spiral. -Tintin is still on in the lounge. -Oh noes! -The message was actually sent by "an enemy" who wants him out of Shanghai! -I think I just saw a cabbage butterfly out of the corner of my eye. -And I just saw a black bird (possibly, although I'm not making any bets, a blackbird) fly out of a tree. -The sky here is dark grey-blue. -These glasses still have something on them. -I guess it could be my eyes, though. -It's hard to tell, because when I take my glasses off, anything that's not a few inches away is blurry. -For example, with my glasses off, I can't make out the letters on this screen. -I can see that there are letters, although they almost merge into the white of the Reply screen. -It all looks like lines of indistinct grey scribbles. -I wonder if that counted as typing with my eyes closed.

-Hey -I haven't posted in a while. -My first week back and I got a lot of homework. -And I still need to find a school bag I like. -Which is really difficult. -Because I'm so picky. -Or, I know what I don't want. -On Friday I got slightly bored in Textiles so I painted my hand blue. -It looked awesome. -And my teacher didn't mind. -I can't remember if I've said that I found my glasses. -...well I found them. -I don't want another week at school. -Ugh. -I think I'm in Belgium in a few weeks. -I'm not in a room with Laura -That makes me sad. -I'm in with people I like though. -So it's not too bad. -Haha, rhyme. -So... -I think I'll go and write Pride. -...Maybe.

-I remember parts of my dream for the first time ever. -One of them invovled a new bare room but it was clean. -Which might come true because apparently we're moving. -My dad wants to sell our house. He said I'd probably having a smaller room which kind of seems impossible because if my room is any smaller the bed, the dresser, and the desk won't be able to fit. And I like my closet thats big enough to fit my dresser. Plus my little oval window. Ofcourse the house won't be bright freaking yellow anymore. My dad almost found a palce but it wouldn't allow cats. I'm glad we're keeping the cat. Then my dream invovled all of us going to Emily's restraunt and talking out all our problems, well with her work we didn't even get around to the boyfriend thing. Then I realized she worked at wallgreens not at a mexican restraunt. But with both of those dreams I didn't realize they didn't happen until I saw my messy room. In my other dream I said that my favorite clothes were my pola dotted underwear and my skirt, and we were all going somewhere. I like my tiaras too. I need a current event and a current event relateing to government.

-I don't remember any dreams I had last night. -There's a big conch shell in my room. -It has the top sawed off, so it could theoretically be used as a trumpet. -It's not a very good trumpet, though. -I blew into it until I felt dizzy, but couldn't make much noise from it. -This shell was in my sister's room, and she was getting rid of it for some reason. -She has a big collection of seashells, and wanted to clear some out. -The camera seems to be broken. -Even with a new battery, it won't work. -Mother's taking it to the camera repair shop sometime later. -Without my glasses, I can't read or see things up close. -I have them off now, and I can't see the screen or key board clearly.

-I have a piece of coral in my room. -I think my uncle got it somewhere. -I also recall that he didn't get it completely legally, but I can't actually remember. -I've been reading Jingo. -It's pretty good. -And right now, I'm meant to be eating dinner. -It's some kind of home-made pizza. -I can see it from here, and it looks alright. -Mother was cutting out some newspaper articles, and was going to photocopy them, earlier. -I asked why, but all she told me was what she was doing. -I don't recall her actually telling me what the point in it was. -And if I don't go to dinner now, my parents will probably shout at me.
Edit:
-Er. -Dinner was tasty. -I wish my parents would do round pizzas, though. -It's awfully hard to pick up a rectangular slice of pizza. -It flops about, and is difficult to eat. -I feel tired. -And slightly worried.
