-So, I'm back home for lunch. -I could get used to this. -And I just found out that, because of an English Literature trip to the Globe theatre on Thursday, which I'm not going on, then I will be one of only two people in my Literature class on Thursday. -That should be dull. -Hopefully, we won't do much work. -I'll have to get ready to leave again within ten minutes. -I'm very paranoid about time. -I don't really need to be back until twenty past, but sometimes it takes me ages to get back to school. -It takes ten-to-twenty minutes, and I have no idea why it varies, as I walk at the same speed every time. -And I always worry that I'll be late, even when I obviously won't. -So I'll be leaving to return to school at ten-to-one. -And it might take me a while to get ready. -I take no chances. -It's pretty sunny now. -Which means I'll boil on the way back to school. -At least I could dump some of my stuff.here, so my bag will be much lighter on the way back to school. -I kept on almost getting headaches in English this morning. -I made some pretty good points about Chapter Two of Waterland, though, and my teacher seemed impressed. -I've started reading a book which my mother got free with the newspaper the other day. -Graham Greene's The Quiet American. -I keep on accidentally putting "Young" instead of "Quiet," for some reason. -Another annoying thing I do is I set myself early times to get ready and go and such, and then I worry that perhaps I should start doing those early to get a head-start, even though I'd have quite enough of a head-start anyway. -I frustrate myself so sometimes...

-Blasted Dante just signed on, and just after I said hello, signed off again! -And I was planning on asking him for some insider-trading info on the WW mod situation -Though I doubt he would have said much -So I'm reading New Spring -And I'm rather bored -School was boring, too -And I'm hungry -*whine* -I finished the Amulet of Samarkand -It's a really really great book -Meh -I wish another cool 667 story would pop up -Another week till Book 12 -After school, 4:30, I will run up to Top Ryde, burst into Dymocks, and purchase my copy -If it's closed, or their out, I shall see if I can get to Rhodes -Failing that, I shall go back on Tuesday, then check Rhodes again, and praps Macquarie -If all fail me, off to the city I go -But probably only on thursday, as I will have spent wednesday afternoon going to Macquarie, Rhodes and Top Ryde -Meh -I'll go scavenge some food -And think of something to do -I should start my story... -...but I don't know how -Well, I kind of do, but I get the feeling that I'm waiting for something... -5 threads, all unconciously weaving together to achieve one end -I must admit, I love the idea -I've always liked stories about Fate and Destiny -Especially absurd ones -Like in The Wheel of time -It's basically an excuse to make crazy and cool things happen -If the protagonist, Rand, passes through a town, everything goes schitz -Like, in one town, everyone decides to get married to another -In the next, a fire inexplicably started and managed to defy the laws of physics and burn half the village down -And there's also the fact that almost EVERYONE he meets along the road has some grand purpose in things -And, of course, how everyone else got drawn to where he was going -Rand went to the Stone to obtain Callandor.... -Perrin followed him -Egwene and Nynaeve tried to warn him about some evil -Whilst Mat tried to warn Egwene and Nynaeve that THEY were in some kind of trouble -Not to mention the Aiel, who where there to fulfil the prophecy -So no one has understood me, so I'll just go eat stuff

-I've heard of a book called The Quiet American. -Or at least, I've heard of a movie based on such a book. -The movie might have been on TV once, and my parents were watching it, and that might be why I remember the title. -Last night, I know I had some dreams, but I can't remember them. -I hate it when that happens. -It seems to happen to me a lot. -I haven't been sleeping very well. -It takes me some time to get to sleep, and then I keep waking up during the night. -I've been alone, or nearly alone, in some of my classes. -Sometimes most of the class goes off on a trip to an amusement park, which I had no interest in going to. -When that happens, in my experience, we generally don't do much. -I'm skeleton key. -Yesterday I became a Devious Doorman. -Which is sort of silly, because I'm a girl. -It should be Devious Doorwoman. -I've heard of a code for Proboards that lets you have different ranks for different genders, so if we had that code you might indeed be a Doorwoman. -We'd also have some Forewomen, although that sounds sort of odd. -Then again, the code might not actually work with the current Proboards version. -And that neck-breaking thing you mentioned is interesting. -I've heard something similar about getting beheaded: -When the guillotine comes down and chops your head off, all you feel is a slight tickle on the back of your neck.

-On our rare trips to amusement parks, then I'm pretty sure that if you don't go, you have to spend the day at school. -There's some law which states that you can't just let us go home below a certain age. -On balance, I'd rather go the amusement park. -But I do really like the haunted house at Alton Towers (which is where we went the last two years). -And it's got nice scenery and stuff, too. -Anyway, you may have noticed I'm home. -It turned out that Mr. B. had something wrong with his back, so there aren't any Maths lessons this afternoon. -I made very sure to check on that point. -So my Maths class all went home. -It was really annoying, arriving to school just to find that I had to go back home again. -And it would have been more convenient if it had been next Tuesday, as then I wouldn't have any homework to do on the day I got B12. -But it's not all bad. -I mean, I skip my least favourite afternoon of the week, and end the day early with no homework, whereas usually I'd have gotten lots. -All in all, I win. -It's still pretty sunny outside. -And Mother's arrived home now, too. -But I reckon that I'm going to have a quiet few hours. -I don't think that anything's really happening this afternoon. -Which is good.

-I'm back from Belgium. -It was awesome fun. -Except that I was quite sick. -The food was awful. -I took a load of pictures. -I had the day off of school today, I was really tired. -We missed our ferry back, because the coach got stopped and searched at customs. -So we had to wait for hours at the ferry port. -One of the main things in Belgium was that someone jumped out of the window. -He didn't get hurt, even though it was a third story window. -So, it was a quite good trip.

-It's good to see you back, Amber. -Glad you had a fairly good time. -I'd never get to go home early if one of my teachers were out. -Even if we had no sub, the school's too far from my home, and Mother probably wouldn't be able to drive me home. -I could spend the class in the library, though, as I did a lot last year when I had nothing to do in Ceramics. -Today's been all right. -Someone brought donuts to Photography class, so I had a good snack. -The teacher quizzed someone on how to load film into a camera and adjust the focus and things, and kept saying that she was losing points for having a bad attitude. -I'll have to take this test eventually. -I ruined a roll of film we were using to practice loading the camera, trying to pull out the loose end that had gotten wound up inside so we could load it back in. -My computer programming class is going well, though. -I figured out something we haven't been taught yet, and my program worked. -Also, someone in my literature class was dressed as a Teletubby. -It was apparently for some sort of group photo.

-I've been so bored over the past few hours. -I've barely done anything. -The Quiet American isn't really my sort of book, so far. -Although I haven't read much. -It is, though, a very short book. -I'll be spending up to a few hours at the dentist after school tomorrow, so I don't know when I'll get back. -And I might well have a fair bit of homework. -I just heard the clock in the lounge chime half-past. -Black night has fallen outside. -I feel rather tired. -I've been getting up a bit earlier than usual this week, as Father's had to go to work early. -Hm, two Nameless Novel tasks over the next two days, if I recall correctly. -That should be good. -Interesting. -It's not long now. -I really need to rest, or find something interesting to do. -But I just realised that I don't actually have many things that interest me right now. -I'm nearly recovered from my cold. -My nose is still a little blocked-up, and I still have a bit of a cough, but overall, I'm okay. -Tomorrow I have Government, and some extra English Literature lessons to make up for missed time with Mrs. D. -I understand we'll be researching the Romantic period. -...Which I've already done. -Well, no complaints...

-I took my final Algebra I test today, and I think I did well on it -Next up, Algebra II *sigh* -It's weird to think that I'll be a Junior next year -My friend Seth had to drive me home from school, as my brother had gone to the hospital for something or other -He's fine though, just a bit of a scare -I have an English test tommorow, which I'm a bit nervous about, but I'm sure I'll do fine on it -It is very gloomy-looking outside, and has been drizzling all day -Which means that soccer tonight is going to be wet, cold, and muddy--the worst combination ever -My mom has just come home -Not much else to say

-I remember doing algebra a few years ago. -I found it pretty hard at first, but got the hang of it. -Then, however, we moved on to harder work. -My father's also been getting up really early. -He's started his new job now. -It's a long drive, so he has to get up early every morning and check the traffic. -Maybe I'll visit him at his new workplace someday. -I was hoping to get some books we ordered from Amazon today, but they didn't come. -Just one week until Book 12 comes out. -I haven't been this excited about any book in a long time. -I'm probably more excited about b12 than I was about TGG, because this time there's much more suspense.

-My team won in soccer, I think we won by 2 -I'm not sure of the exact score -One side of the field was pure mud, and when you ran/walked it sounded like suction(sp?) cups -I've just taken a shower, and am too lazy to do anything at all with my hair -Hopefully it will curl -That way I wont have to do anything tommorow morning -I got my soccer pictures back, they turned out good -My brother needs to fix my scanner -I have so many things to scan its not even funny

-So, it's been a while. -I wasn't on at all yesterday. -A new theme seems to have started. -Once again I'm jumping on the band wagon. -This time I'm O.J. Simpson. -It was either him or The Birnies. -But no doubt none of you have ever heard of them as they were Australian criminals. -In fact Mr Birnie commited suicide in his jail cell last week. -They ran quite a disgusting crime. -Husband and wife team, raping young woman and killing them after climbing into the bedroom windows. -People like that make me scared. -So I had an essay today. -It was on a movie but that didn't make it any easier. -It was a boring, low budget, Canadian film. -One of the most difficult moves to find in a video store. -I went to a dozen looking for it so I could rewatch it at home. -I had training for dance tonight. -Our coach tried to persuade us to do exams again this year. -None of my friends plan to. -We still have to learn the work in class though. -It's a lot harder than the past exams I've done. -State trials are Friday. -I'm excited. -I learnt that I've been executing a backwards walk over wrong because I put a flick into it because I'm not pulling up through my hips in handstand position. -I'm going to have to correct it if I want to get into State team and do well in my solo. -One of my friends found the diary we wrote together in Year 7, I'm reading it now. -It's hilarious. -We were so young and stupid. -We decided to start it again so we can say the same thing in an other couple of years. -I guess that's the fun of maturity though, realising how stupid you used to be.

-Eh, I'm home. -I won't bore you with the details of my lengthy dental pre-op assessment. -Let me just say that it took far too long. -I've read more of The Quiet American. -It's pretty boring. -I don't much like it. -I can't really think of anyone I could be for unofficial criminal week. -And I can't really be bothered to change at the moment, either... -I finally got some Skittles today. -D. brought a huge tube of them into Government. -I don't indulge in gluttony very often, but sometimes... sometimes... -I quite like algebra, and similar stuff. -Although one can easily come to hate something if you're set a dozen of the same sort of question on it regularly. -I'm pretty excited about B12 too. -I can't remember the last time I was so excited about anything. -So it'd better be good. -I don't have much more to say right now. -The torrential rain and hours of boredom have drained me. -And I'm meant to be eating dinner, too.

-Today was a good day. -I played Chess in school for 2 hours and 15 minutes. -Against grandmaster Alex Baburn. -It's scary how good he is. -There was two of us at each board. -And there was fourteen boards. -And he played us all simultaneously. -And, needless to say, check-mated us all. -Then I also had a half-day. -Which was good. -I put up my Esmé-Olaf story today. -It's called Our Villainous Past. -You can read it here. -[/advertisement] -I changed my username to Ned Kelly for criminal week. -I chose him because I'm reading True History of the Kelly Gang by Peter Carey in English now. -It's hard to follow because it's written in shorthand and without punctuation at some points. -So it come written v. like this sometime i not understand or miss bits -But it's alright.

-I haven't gotten to play chess in a while. -The only person I can play against is Father, and recently he's been fairly busy, and I've been too tired at the times when he could play. -I think I've got a cold. -Sometime this week, I'll have to write a college application essay, or at least a draft of one. -We've been discussing these essays, among other things, in literature class. -Ms M showed us some examples of mistakes students have made on these essays. -Such as "I would love to attend a college where the foundation is built on women". -And somebody wrote "Cook and serve homeless" under their skills/experience list. -There's a college that my parents both think I should apply to, and I'll probably write my essay as if I'm applying to that college. -I'll need their help, as well as the various documents Ms M gave us. -We had a quiz in photography class, and I did fairly well. -I made some very silly mistakes, though. -Sometime soon, I'll have to demonstrate safe camera handling, which is worth a lot more points than the quiz. -I must remember to put the camera strap around my neck , because I'll be in a lot of trouble if I forget that.

-I got an 88% on my Algebra, which is pretty good for me in math -In my class, we have this pickle jar where you put tickets with each person's name on them -You get ticket for different things (i.e. helping somone without being asked, answering a current event question) -Anywho, the point of me telling you that is that my name got pulled for no homework today, which is good, as I didn't want to have any, I have too much to do today -Gotta clean my room, then rec room (basement), re-wash my hair (it looks HORRIBLE!), go to choir, then to youth group, then to applebees -Add a dash of 667 and you've got a recipe for a day in the life of me -I loaned my teacher my copy of TBB, and she read it and liked it so I have to give her TRR now -Right after I got TBB back, I loaned it to my friend Dawn -I'm planning on reading through the entire series while driving to Florida and back -By then I should have Gloom Looms -Have I mentioned I had to take Anna Karenina back to the library before I finished it? -Well, I did, so I'm going to re-check it out and take it on vacation with me -Hopefully I wont lose is -My brother is being a brat, for being 18 he's really immature -Which annoys me -a lot
