Idk I guess I just feel this way because being both white and poc, I've had white people by like "lol you cant identify with us" and poc being like "lol stfu white girl". It can be different when you're mixed.

Yes, because they had most of the power. and today? when we should know better? what is our excuse? Look at governments in countries where they have no white people, are they better? Not really I think. Saying white people are worse than all others is just as racist as saying that they are better.

yeah bee its easy to feel like you dont belong to either group.
also i think many people arent trying to shame white dudes but they just want white dudes to be aware of their privilege. like a lot of dudes in our wonderful government speak for women/minorities as if they can understand and there's no difference between them. my favorite thing was a discussion on abortion where some senator was saying that abortions kill black babies and he was so sad about it and wanted it to stop and then a black lady senator was like thanks for being so concerned about black babies, btw i've raised three black children how many have you raised.
basically like white dudes can sympathize with people and have opinions and whatever but cannot ~get it~ because theres things they will never actually experience just because they are white and male. and if you're a white dude who's aware of that then you rock and should keep on keeping on.

I wouldn't say that white males are still the ones with the most terrible behaviour. There's plenty of terribleness all around, with every race. I think it'd be hard to say which is the most racist or sexist or whatever. And maybe kinda racist to do so. In any way, speaking of mixed race, I find those people to be the least racist. For obvious reasons.

BSam was speaking specifically about being oppressive to other races, though. I don't think there is any doubt whites are doing more of that than other people. (I mean, they are bringing about a greater amount of oppression.) I think Anka is right to say that this is because they have more power, not because they are intrinsically worse people (which I don't think anyone was claiming). But they still have more power.

Hermes is pretty much correct there, and helped my order my thoughts a little more.
We're not exactly worse people(supposedly), but due to us bringing about the greater amount of oppression, we are the bigger problem. (and claiming that non white people are bad too will not change this)

My mom's black and my dad's white. Though most people think my mom is Hispanic because she's very fair for her race. And my dad is some mix of English, Irish, French and Italian.
And I don't tend to like labeling things, so I don't really give myself a race. I'm just me.
