ohhhhh i was pretty sure you were only two things because i remember having this conversation with you but for some reason i wanted to say you were mexican too and its probably because you also said the thing about your mom.
i dont know if i mentioned this but a long time ago my mom said i was probably fourth or fifth generation mexican but she also might not have known what that meant because im actually third generation and my mom is second. and like even including the first generation we're pretty americanized or whatever and i asked my mom how that happened and the answer is basically racism. there werent a lot of mexicans in the town she grew up in and apparently no one ate mexican food at that time because it was ~low class~ and teachers said she had to go by mary instead of maria in kindergarten because this is ~america~. which also kind of explained to me how my mom can watch as much fox news as she does and not cringe at all the racist salsa.

hey mixed people, how are you presented in the media?
i've been talking about how tv this year is actually more inclusive than it ever seems to be so im curious if in your area/country whatever theres actually stuff that represents you. like one of my new fav shows has a black lady protagonist with a black boss, a black sister, a mexican ex boyfriend and occasional guest appearances by john cho, of course it was marketed by hyping up the white guy but whatevs since sleepy hollow is a fun show on a major network with 5 people out of 8 of the main cast being minorities.

The only thing I can come up with is Key&Peele, two comedians with a hilarious sketch show. They have addressed mixed race during the stand up interludes as themselves, because they are half-black half-white. Other than that I'd be hard pressed to come up with mixed race being presented in the media.

Concerning their latest season I kinda agree, they start repeating themselves and lost their steam, but before that they delivered some quality stuff. The "I said b*tch" sketch or the "Pizza Order" sketch are priceless. Also the two have undeniable comedy chemistry together.
