It seems that we're making some progress right now.

One particlar bot deleted yes, one DD appointed.
I don't know if she visits the areas less snickety however.a couple more DD's or mods with more powers who frequent those areas would be good.

I don't wish to anticipate Tragedy's decisions, but I believe him to be mulling over his options.

I think more Deleters would be a good idea, I can't see how there could be anything bad about it.

She doesn't need to be a regular visitor to other areas, she can use 'Recent Posts' to see if there are any problems.

She can use that feature to check for spam, whether or not she is a person who sues it regularly.

assuming she's one of the few people who actually uses that feature. She said in her first post in this thread. And also I use it all the time too, I can't imagine to be on 667 without using it. It's also the only reason why I saw all the spam.

Well, you can not use it if you are only interested in one or two sections - if you are purely a Snicketologist, or if, conversely, you are here only for the MMisc. stuff and have no interest in Snicket. But I think most people probably do use it.

^same. But apparently older members don't because they have habits from the time the feature didn't exist. At least that's what I've been told.

Just because you don't post somewhere doesn't mean you can't be aware of what's going on in there. Also, I hope nobody has any sentimental attachment to those spam posts. Or the ensuing threads-- better to get rid of the replies too, I think.

Actually it's the Recently Updated Threads funktion that I use, not Recent Posts.

Yes, I always use the 'Recent Threads' feature because with posts you don't know what you haven't seen yet and you don't know what everyone's replying to, etc. It's just very confusing that way.
