Probably, especially after a resounding remain vote here.

Actually idk, it's too early to think about it. Depends if we'd actually get what they promised.
Man, 75% of 18-24 year old voted to remain too...

For a vote won by a mere 1.9%, the knock-on effects of this are potentially enormous. It's a bit early to anticipate the breakup of the U.K. and the breakup of the EU, but the potential has very clearly been created. I agree that the calculation on Scottish independence has certainly changed; certainly the division between Scotland and England looks more and more like that between two countries - to say nothing of the division between young and old. I certainly oppose some of the things the EU is responsible for, but Brexit is throwing the baby out with the bathwater - trading countless tangible benefits for the rhetoric of illusory sovereignty.

I just hope they don't actually act upon it, but that's kind of a pointless hope ain't it

It's not clear an independent Scotland would get into the EU anyway. It's true one of their worries (countries breaking themselves up to get more votes) isn't an issue if England is gone, but my understanding is they don't fit the economic conditions for new members anyway.
Perhaps England should declare independence. That way Scotland would stay in automatically, because it would be the United Kingdom (and so would Northern Ireland).

I was going to make a joke about this, but I see that the last line of the article makes it anyway.
I believe I am entitled to Canadian citizenship. I must start looking into that.
Meanwhile, it looks as if the result has brought 667 to a halt.

I'm kind of worried now. Mister M keeps saying it will all be okay for me moving there in late October this year and being allowed to stay there, but I'm not that sure.
