According to the Director's Guild of Canada, in addition to Jonathan Teplitzky, Liza Johnson will also be directing episodes in season 3.  www.imdb.com/name/nm1637785/ (As indeed will Barry Sonnenfeld, but that's not exactly news at this point.) :Edit: Given the schedule it seems pretty clear that Jonathan Teplitzky is directing the Slippery Slope and I'm going to guess that Liza Johnson will tackle the Grim Grotto. Leaving the Penultimate Peril and The End open for Bo Welch and Barry Sonnenfeld respectively. |

While not a given, wouldn’t Sonnenfeld as the Showrunner be inclined to direct the series finale? He’s the director most creatively invested and The End will be challenging, important undertaking.
Also if Welch is to do another, The Pennultimate Peril seems very set-driven ... Snickets writing is pretty descriptive of the hotel, how it reflects in the surrounding pond is a key image in that story. As set designer I could see this being a fit for him.

"Respectively" is a word here meaning "with TPP directed by Welch and TE directed by Sonnenfeld," so yes. That's what's been suggested.

Also this whole time I've been convinced that Sara Rue is Madame Lulu, but this wig does look like her hair... still pretty sure Sara Rue is Lulu, but interesting to see what style they go with for Kit! |

I wonder if this will shoot down the Jacquelyn = kit theories. Since Jacquelyn is blond hair in the show.
But since they have made a wig does his mean that Jacquelyn is actually kit because they need a wig for her. I know I just contradicted myself. Oh well we will just have to wait and see.

Unfortunately, this wig doesn't really prove much of anything. We don't know if this wig is Kit's real hair or simply part of a disguise. Likewise we don't really know if Jacequelyn is even actually blonde. |

How many episodes will each book be in Season 3? Will it be 2 and shorter than Season 2? I hope 3 because the books are much longer.

According to Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler, much like seasons one and two, each book will receive two episodes except for The End which will be only one. This makes 7 episodes in total.
Keep in mind that an episode on Netflix can be any length the showrunners want so quantity of content isn't that much of an issue.
