The social media team deserve a lot of praise for their ideas! Carmelita replied to people's tweets (some months old) with videos made especially to address them. There were only a few times when the same video was re-used to reply to different tweets. My favourite was her reply to an animal rescue account who reported on a chihuahua called Carmelita Spats being adopted Wow, this is quite something. Also, isn't your favourite her reply to you?

That's a good point! You've convinced me to change my mind. The chihuahua video is my second favourite. I saved a copy of her reply because it's a very special thing indeed; direct communication from Carmelita Spats herself is a once-in-a-lifetime honour.

I just went to Jim Dooley's website and saw that he's uploaded three tracks from his season 2 score. You can find them under the selected projects section of his website. jimdooley.comSunny's Mambo is the music that plays while Olaf and Esmé "dance" after throwing the Baudelaires down the elevator shaft. VFD Party is the swing music that plays during the opening minutes of the Carnivorous Carnival part one. Hector's Balloon is the track that plays when Hector takes off in the S.S.H.A.M.H.

Thanks for sharing this! I'm delighted to have some tracks to listen to individually.

I definitely enjoyed Malina Weissman's southern drawl accent as her 2-headed character Beverly. Are you American? Yes.

On rewatching the Carnivorous Carnival Pt2, I'm pretty sure the White-faced Women/Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender/Bald Man will be quitting as a unit in the Slippery Slope. The Baudelaires speculate that the Henchpeople feel they have nowhere else to go, HOIG specifically talks about their moral dilemma and the others all react badly to Madame Lulu's death, additionally none of them express any positive emotion at cutting the Baudelaires off, they're all looking downcast, in contrast to the newly recruited freaks who are gleeful, and the chuckling Esme and Fernald. I do hope we can see them again in some capacity during the Penultimate Peril with the rest of the characters though as the WFW are my favourite characters.
Also Nero I'm pretty sure will be replacing Bruce in SS.

Anyone else noticing that the season 2 episodes were obviously shot in a higher resolution than hose in season 1? My device can stream season 1 episodes perfectly but when I try to play season 2 the episodes are blurry:(

Also the girl playing Carmelita is more talented than any of the other child actors on the show, just sayin'.

Jim Dooley does great work incorporating themes from season 1, despite different composers having worked on it. He also brings a strong musical personality to the show.
(Harry Potter didn’t have as much luck. John Williams does 3 incredible, thematically rich scores, his replacements for films 4-8 keep Hedwigs theme but toss out all the rest.)

Personally I think there were still some great pieces from the later films, though. Lily's theme is hauntingly beautiful.

Also the girl playing Carmelita is more talented than any of the other child actors on the show, just sayin'. She is splendid, but I don't actually think she's more talented than the others. I love Malina Weissman's performance as Violet, in particular. The Quagmires were really good, and I think Louis Hynes has improved so much and really impressed me this season. And of course Presley Smith just lives the role of Sunny. Essentially I'm just really impressed by all the child actors.

Just dropping my too cents before we get too off-topic: I half-agree with you, though not for the same ones — I never found "Lily's Theme" to be anything so special, but I do think Doyle's Umbridge Theme and Voldemort Theme (though Williams's Voldemort Theme still gets my vote over the latter) were both spot-on. But yes, I echo the sentiment for the Netflix Series score. I love Count Olaf's Theme, which I have found myself humming now and then, and am grateful for its endless variations. Also, this may be a strange question, but what was that instrumental "epic" music in the first trailer, way back? The one with the "The Baudelaire children will be destroyed - What?" moment, if it helps any of you remember which one I'm talking about.
