I didn't actually think so much about Kitana Turnbull's performance as I was watching. I mean, I'd seen her praised in the reviews and thought she was good, but now that it's being discussed, I do think she's also good compared to the other child actors (and I mean that with all due respect to their performances). I'm not sure whether I think she or Maline Weissman is the best - Weissman plays Violet very well, and I was often impressed with her performance while watching, but with Carmelita, I think it's a case of acting done well enough that I don't realise it's being done at all. Violet's role is too big to feel like that under any circumstances. The other child actors are good enough as well - at least good enough that I don't feel removed from the show's reality while watching - but among the children, Violet and Carmelita are definitely the stand-out performances in my eyes.
Oh, and Sunny. Obviously.

Just dropping my too cents before we get too off-topic: I half-agree with you, though not for the same ones — I never found "Lily's Theme" to be anything so special, but I do think Doyle's Umbridge Theme and Voldemort Theme (though Williams's Voldemort Theme still gets my vote over the latter) were both spot-on. But yes, I echo the sentiment for the Netflix Series score. I love Count Olaf's Theme, which I have found myself humming now and then, and am grateful for its endless variations. Also, this may be a strange question, but what was that instrumental "epic" music in the first trailer, way back? The one with the "The Baudelaire children will be destroyed - What?" moment, if it helps any of you remember which one I'm talking about. From this trailer? I also love that track - it still constantly gets stuck in my head. (And ASOUE will forever be associated with it for me.) I also saw it used in a Fantastic Beasts TV spot around the same time. I never found the name or the composer, though now I feel like revisiting that mission... Do let me know if you find anything!

Someone mentioned a Keep Chasing Your Schemes instrumental, that might be nice? Also, I'd love other variations of Olaf's Theme than just Village Escape, though I don't have any specific one in mind.

Say, a solution for the Quagmire Timeline Plothole has just occurred to me. What if, throughout their jail-escaping, plane-flying, unfriendly-fridge-repairman-fighting adventures, the Quagmire Parents were believed dead back home? If not by the Quagmires themselves and their elderly butler (who, presumably being in on VFD if not a Volunteer himself, would know better), then by the law. Thus, they might already have gone through several guardians and been to Prufrock Prer in the Orphan Shack then. The scenes we saw of the Quagmires happy in their home may have taken place during school holidays.

Did season 2 answer the question of why Justice Strauss said "Something Klaus Baudelaire is ringing a faint bell" from episode 1, I always thought it was an odd phrase and wasn't sure if she meant it literally or figuratively.
