But either way I think they will probably show up at some point in TPP. I agree with you on both these points, but I'm still baffled as to where this picture fits in because unless I'm very much mistaken I don't think that there's any point in either of those scenes where Fernald would be dressed so nicely and look so clean. Also, does anybody else here think that this person in the background looks like Matty Cardarople's HOIG? Because if it is, and this is indeed from TGG or TPP, the Henchpeople will definitely be sticking around for much longer than we originally thought.

On second thought, this query probably should've been posted here. This video has a mini-interview with Sara Rue and Jim Dooley, most of what they talk about is stuff we've already heard before but- at one point, when asked about whether he knew what was going to happen in advance, Jim Dooley says no and adds that "until I saw the last episode of our series, which was two days ago [July 17th], I did not know what was in the sugar-bowl".(Interview starts at 38:38) So... any ideas? (Personally, I'm hoping that it turns out to have been empty this whole time.)

I had a thought today, and maybe everyone has already thought of this, but here goes:Jacques was a taxi driver in the show. Kit appears to be the taxi driver at the end of TCC in the show, and we know she is a taxi driver in TGG & TPP the books. So if Lemony is the mysterious taxi driver in TPP on the show, all three Snicket siblings would be taxi drivers!

If we take the November release date as a given (which it seems pretty safe to do) then Season 2's potential release dates are:
November 2nd- Unlikely, as the last season of House of Cards is premiering on this date.
November 9th- Potentially, as there are currently no other Netflix programs being released on this date.
November 16th- Unlikely, as the first seasons of The Kominsky Method and the She-Ra reboot are premiering on this date.
November 23rd- Potentially, as there are currently no other Netflix programs being released on this date and it's the same week as the Netflix versions of books 10-13 are set to be released.
November 30th- Potentially, as there are currently no other Netflix programs being released on this date and it's exactly 8 months to the day that season 2 premiered.

The tie-in books are now set to be released on the eighth of January next year but that needn't preclude a November release date as the other two sets were both released months after their respective seasons dropped.

The Penultimate Peril episodes. I will just can’t wait for all the characters together in one episode.

What episodes from season 3 are people on here looking forward to the most? 3 of my top 4 favorite books are in this season, so it's going to be pretty spectacular. 1. The Penultimate Peril - The obvious choice. I have no idea how they're going to pull this off, but if done right, it should be the most outstanding two episodes of the entire show. (Just like the general consensus for the book series.) 2. The End - I'm very nervous about The End. It's SO crucial to the series and its themes, besides being, well, the end. I've always hated the big backlash against the book and I worry that they will change or add things to appease those viewers. A few changes I'm fine with, but I hope it keeps the overall tone of the book. Again, very anxious, but it should be beautiful! 3. The Slippery Slope - This is one of my "special" ASOUE books. We all have that one book we just love so much. This is mine. So many good, heartbreaking moments. So many great character moments. Hope it's a better season-starter than TAA! 4. The Grim Grotto - One of my least favorite books in the series; however, Joshua Conkel wrote these episodes and he produced my favorite episodes of season 2 - THH - so I'm still excited!

I just think its going to be weird how for 8 years I've had an image of unseen characters like Ishmael and for the rest of my life I will only see the way he looks in the show. I've forgotten a lot of my mind's images of locations, characters, and even the fighting disease tune.

I am most looking forward to TPP. It is my favorite book, and I cannot wait to see the Hotel D! I love the Dewey decimal system, so I am really hoping they do the hotel justice. I never thought of what veryfakedonkey said about having an image in your mind, but now I am really thinking about that. I do still remember the tune some girls in my class came up with for the Volunteers Fighting Disease song, but I don't want to forget how I imagine the hotel.

I just think its going to be weird how for 8 years I've had an image of unseen characters like Ishmael and for the rest of my life I will only see the way he looks in the show. I've forgotten a lot of my mind's images of locations, characters, and even the fighting disease tune. I fear this a bit, too. I have the advantage of being unable to remember tunes I've made up myself, so I've always just been making up a new VFD tune every time I read THH, and even knowing the 'official' tune from the show, it's still my instinct to do that when I read it. There's other things where I feel this effect more strongly, though - Hector and Jerome come to mind, and I have to make a conscious effort to visualise what Mr. Poe was like before he was K. Todd Freeman. But I think it's worth it, since I take it as a sign of how well the show translates the books. A lot of things do indeed look just like I imagined them from the books, which certainly adds to my immersion in those elements that are different. There are some exceptions, though. As great as NPH's performance is, book Olaf still has a slightly, but distinctly different feel than show Olaf. Not necessarily less silly, but definitely more scary (For this reason, I really loved that scene from THH where he threatens Violet. It felt like NPH was directly channeling how I read Olaf). I think what I'm looking forward to the most is TE. I'm fairly confident they'll be handling it well, but it's such a risk if they don't - that's more important to me than how they do TPP, which is so busy and has so much interesting material that they could deviate relatively far from the book and still achieve the same kind of feeling. Whereas with TE, feeling is not enough, the details have to be right. At least, this is what I'm feeling now, but I know they might surprise me. What I mean to say is that I know that, if done well, I will really savour TE, even more than I've savoured the other episodes so far.

I saw this in the store yesterday, and this is also what I imagine Mr. Poè to look like:
