At the moment I believe Esmé got married a few years after Lemony's bad criticism, but a few years before the events narrated on TEE. Although they recently moved into the building, I believe the marriage took place a few years after the Olaf Schism at the time of the SL murder when Olaf and a man losing his hair killed a man. When Phil first saw Violet he said no one had used that door for 14 years. Was this the time when Esmé's murder and marriage took place? What do you think?
(Please accept as a premise that LSTUA was not tampered with in the documents you cite and there were no major chronological errors made by Daniel Handler.)

Knocked on that door, more specifically (TMM p. 21). Why the interest in rendering these events simultaneous? It's difficult to say that the Paltryville murder had anything to do with Esmé's marriage to Jerome, regardless of when it took place (though it's clearly a rather confused interpretation of Dr. Orwell or Foreman Firstein's deaths). I absolutely refuse.
